5.0 out of 5 stars More than just for muffin tops ...
I purchased three of these pans specifically for baking homemade sandwich rolls (hamburger buns). I mix the dough in my breadmaker, then bake in this pan to get the perfect 4-inch bun. The pan bakes well and the nonstick feature is a great bonus. So, think beyond muffins -- try making your own sandwich buns!

1.0 out of 5 stars Non-stick surface isn't
Worked at first, but after a few cleanings the non-stick properties are gone. And yes, I have tried everything from cooking spray to crisco, and I know how to pre-heat and bake properly. And I've tried the pan in two different ovens. It's simply no longer possible to bake anything in it without being ruined, and if I have to take the time to cut out little parchment...

I bought the muffin top pans because I always throw away the bottom of the muffins. These pans work great, no need for nonstick spray that can sometimes make the bottom of your muffins stiff. The trick is to fill them half full or less and keep an eye on the time, it only takes 1/2 to 2/3 the time of regular muffins. Once I got the hang of it I had delicious muffin tops, the best part!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!, March 16, 2007
This review is from: Cuisinart AMB-6MTP Chef's Classic 6-Cup Nonstick Muffin-Top Pan (Kitchen)
I purchased this pan last year and I never got around to doing a review. I use this pan weekly. I originally figured I'd be making blueberry or banana muffins but we've found other uses for it such as making small cakes, cornbread muffin tops etc. The pan is so easy to clean and take care of without having to use nonstick spray. Everything turns out beautiful and delicious. Making the cornbread tops is such a fantastic and nifty idea that my husband came up with. I highly recommend this pan for the busy family on the go or with kids! I love making muffins and putting them in a ziploc bag to eat during the week. Muffin tops are so wonderful!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for gluten-free diet!, February 5, 2008

I was looking at this product because I need to bake my own gluten-free hamburger & sandwich rolls, and lo and behold, another reviewer said she bakes her own hamburger and sandwich buns with this pan and it works great. Not only that, but two of these pans will fit in my convection toaster oven, saving a lot of electricity, and it won't heat up my kitchen in the summer. I'm buying two.

5.0 out of 5 stars One word......................... awesome, November 27, 2007

I have had this pan for a couple months now and I use it regularly. I will agree with other reviewers that the pan is thin in construction - and is not packed well for shipping (one big dent). The muffin tops that I have made with this pan have quickly become a favorite to all our friends and family.

I would recommend playing with the temperature and bake time to have your muffins come out the way you personally prefer them. I have found in our oven...... any batter that I have used comes out great at 16 minutes on 400 degrees. I regularly bake blueberry, cinnamon, banana and chocolate chip and each come out differently ...... all tasting wonderful. I plan to buy a second pan for myself and possibly have a few under the tree.

We primarily eat gluten free breads, and if you're avoiding wheat, it's hard to find hamburger buns that don't taste like shredded paper. I found a good recipe for bread and wanted to try it for buns. I needed the buns to look like store bought so decided to invest in the pan. One of the big issues with baking gluten free stuff is that it can be sticky and you need to really grease your pans, even non-stick ones. Heck I've even had gluten free cupcakes stick to a silicon bakeware pan. Having used the Cuisinart cupcake pan without greasing, I tried this also without greasing. Voila! The buns baked up great and did not stick.
I now own almost every type of Cuisinart classic non-stick bakeware and love it!!

These muffin top pans are so hard to find so I was super happy to find it here. It arrived super quick too so that's always a plus.

I bought this pan for a specific purpose. I was dissappointed that it was flimsy for a Cuisinart product but overall it works exactly for my intended use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great muffin pan for those that dont like bottoms!, January 11, 2007

This review is from: Cuisinart AMB-6MTP Chef's Classic 6-Cup Nonstick Muffin-Top Pan (Kitchen)
So everyone has seen the Seinfeld episode where Elaine starts the muffin top shop..... I always thought it was a great idea but a bit wasteful. Now Cuisinart has come up with the solution! If you are the type of person that doesnt like the crispier muffin tops as opposed to the bottoms, this pan is not for you. I love it because it makes a large muffin top that is a little larger than normal tops but overall is less food than a hole muffin. What a great idea!
