Product Description

Color: Silver

A nice alternative to standard cake pans, this 9-inch springform pan makes it easy to create delicious cheesecakes, as well as other special desserts like layer cakes and tortes. When the cake has finished baking, just open the latch to release and gently lift the 3-inch-tall sides straight up and away from the perfectly intact cake. To transfer the confection to a serving plate, just slide it right off its base.

As part of Cuisinart's Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware line, the pan features heavy-gauge (1.0 mm) aluminized-steel construction for fast, thorough heat distribution and even browning, as well as a durable Whitford Xylan nonstick coating (both inside and out) to ensure that a graham-cracker crust sticks to the cream-cheese filling, not to the side of the pan. It's best not to cut the cake in the pan, though--use only wood, nylon, rubber, or plastic tools to avoid scratching the surface. Oven-safe, the cookware features extra-thick rolled edges to prevent it from warping, even at high temperatures. Best of all, the cookware cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher-safe, and it carries a limited lifetime warranty.

1.0 out of 5 stars Only used a few times, now it leaks. July 30, 2009
Color Name:Silver
I was happy at first with the quality of this pan: it has a nice weight and beautiful non-stick coating. But I have only used it a handful of times over 6 months and now it leaks badly. Apparently the clasp has already weakened and no longer pulls the pan closed tightly enough to form a complete seal. It has a "lifetime" guarantee, but you have to send $7 for return shipping and handling to Cuisinart. Together with what it will cost to mail, it's hardly worthwhile, since I purchased it for $12.95.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Bakeware December 2, 2006
By JUDY L
Color Name:Silver
My Dad was a baker, So I always want really good quality pans to bake with. This surely is a A+ quality pan. I sprayed a little Pam in it and poured in my cake mix. I thought the batter may leak out a little at the bottom seams, do to it being a springform pan. But... No... It was perfect. No leaks. The cake baked nice and even in color. Also the cake removed very easily. In short..It's a Perfect baking pan for you to enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars heavy not flimsy June 16, 2006

Nice strong base - does not feel like it can easily bend as some other springform pans I have used in the past.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product February 22, 2007
Color Name:Silver
I am not a big baker but I thought I would start with these pans. So far, they have worked great. The batter does not leak our, the cakes do not stick, and they come right out of the pan when you open them up.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cuisinart Springform Pan Fails January 9, 2007
Color Name:Silver
I ordered two pans. After the first baking, one pan no longer closed securely. Now there is a gap between the inside plate and the outside springform. I have no idea why this happened. The other pan seems to be fine.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very bad design - impossible to clean February 10, 2011
Color Name:Silver|Amazon Verified Purchase
This pan has a serious design flaw. The bottom of the pan is a single piece of metal. The edge of the bottom is formed by rolling it up, but there is a small gap here. It is effectively impossible to clean inside this gap, but cake batter flows right in. I used it once and simple couldn't clean it afterwards.

1.0 out of 5 stars 1 star for the pan that LEAKS but Amazon gets 5 stars! November 14, 2011
By zeus

As soon as I received this pan, the first thing I did was put water in it to see if it leaked and it did. No surprise as it is hard to find a springform pan that does not leak. However, I called amazon and they refunded my money and told me not to send the product back. They get an A+ in my book. Thank you amazon for that type of top quality service!

1.0 out of 5 stars It's a leaker July 2, 2011
Color Name:Silver|Amazon Verified Purchase
I read the positive and negative reviews on this product. The negative reviews said that the pan leaked. I decided to try it anyway. Did the water test first and the water poured through it. But, I tried the water test with pans I already have and they also did some leaking with the water test, but hold when I'm baking a cheesecake. I made a crust and put it in this pan, and when I pulled it out, butter was dripping out the bottom. I should have listened to the negative reviews. I will be returning this pan and finding a better one.
