4.0 out of 5 stars Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Tube Pan is a 2 PEICE
When I ordered this item it did NOT list that it had a removeable center peice. I was looking for a solid one peice to bake pound cakes in. The 2 peice does leak a bit, but is DOES NOT stick. NOTE: do not use spray pam on this item EVER as it will build a sticky film. I say just let others know it is NOT a solid pan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Tube Pan, November 4, 2006

I took a chance based upon Cuisnarts name and repuation and bought as gifts a pan for my sister and my brother. After their rave reviews, I finally brought one for myself. This is an excellent, quality pan. I have used many tube pans before and this one by far is the best. It holds even the thinest cake batters and doesn't leak like most pans. My cakes bake a beautiful golden color. I highly recommend. I recently purchased their 9" round pans - same quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent pan, February 23, 2009
This review is from: Cuisinart AMB-9TCP Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware 9-Inch Tube Cake Pan (Kitchen)
When I got the pan, I was disappointed it was spring-form like in that the bottom comes out. I had tried one of those before and it leaked all over my oven. So, I was hesitant to try this pan, but it surprised me! It didn't leak at all and cooked very evenly. It is a great tube pan. It didn't stick either.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect pan for pound cakes!, October 14, 2009

This review is from: Cuisinart AMB-9TCP Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware 9-Inch Tube Cake Pan (Kitchen)
This 2-piece tube pan is the perfect pan for all your angel food and pound cakes. Even though the exterior is black, the inside is shiny which keeps them from burning if you happen to leave it in the oven too long. I only use 2-piece tube pans because of the ease in removing the cake - just run a knife around the edge and lift out the tube. After a few minutes, invert it onto a plate, and then I put another plate on top of that and flip again to keep the crispy, buttery top upward. The pan sealed tightly and did not drip at all. It was an excellent choice and I'm happy with it. However, the shipping is another story. The pan came in a box that was too short. The tube was almost protruding through the top of the box. Upon inspection, I found both parts of the pan bent. This bend would have certainly caused a drip and the cake would have been in the bottom of my oven. I filled out an exchange form on-line, and the second pan actually delivered before I received the return authorization for the first one. And guess what? Yep, it came in the same size box as the first one, this time with no damage. But the pan is great. I highly recommend it, but inspect it closely upon delivery.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great nonstick pan, but does leak, May 30, 2007
This review is from: Cuisinart AMB-9TCP Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware 9-Inch Tube Cake Pan (Kitchen)
I use this pan to make monkey bread, which is quite sticky, and it cleans up very easily. It does leak however, so I have to put a pan underneath it to catch the drips. For the price, its a decent tube cake pan.

I received this pan yesteday and I baked a cake in it today. This is my first Cuisinart baking pan. I love this pan. The size, and weight surprised me, but it made a beautiful cake. It did not leak. Clean up was very easy, totally non-stick. I can't wait to bake another cake in it. I will buy more Cuisinart baking pans.

My daughter is learning to cook and was dying to make an angel food cake but we needed a 2-piece pan. After reading all the reviews of various pans available on Amazon, this one seemed to be suitable, of good quality, and with generally good reviews.

The pan performed very well. It did not leak or burn and cooked the cake perfectly. We had no problem releasing a perfectly formed cake from the pan.

Baking the cake with my daughter was a learning experience. She learned:
a) you should not pick up a 2-piece pan from the bottom or the batter will leak all over the floor
b) that she really does not like the taste of angel food cake. Even with lots of whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

I guess we'll move on to bundt cakes.

Used this pan for several different batters without leaks. Very heavy pan so bakes nice and even. Easy removal also.
