My boyfriend and I were planning to make fondue on Valentine's this year. I ordered this item a couple of days before Valentine's and even though shipping date was noted after Feb 20th. We received it on Feb 13th and were able to use it the next day! Great Service.

The item is wonderful and easy to use with simple instructions and a cookbook that gives you exact heat instructions. Recipes are simple and there is a lot of variety. It's easy to clean and store. The only problem is that it is too big for two people, but we still use it often and love it!

This product didn't look remanufactured, good job for cuisinart people, the fondue maker work excellent, i don't have any complaint whit this purchase.

We were borrowing my in-laws 40 year old fondue pot before we received this. I definitely prefer that one (Waring) to this one.

Good
1) Heats very quickly.
2) Very large capacity which is good if you have 4+ adults
3) Looks nice

Bad
1) Rubber feet are VERY fragile. One came off and the exposed screw scratched the table
2) Heats unevenly
3) Too big if it's just the two of you. Also with such a large capacity it takes 2 packages of cheese to get enough fondue to dip - but that's far more than 2 people would normally eat.
4) This thing is designed to boil several pints of oil for oil Fondue so it's way too powerful for cheese. As a result it cycles on and off, intermittently overheating and then cooling off.
5) Cord is way too short. It says you're NOT supposed to use an extension, but who has an outlet within 16" inches of their dinner table?

This fondue pot makes "fondue night" easy and fun. It is easy to warm up, keeps the cheese (or chocolate) at the perfect temperature, and cleans like a dream.

For an easy fondue night, grab two boxes of fondue cheese (in the specialty cheese section in better grocery stores or Trader Joes, price ranges from 6-12 dollars in our Southern California town), some fresh broccoli, fresh mushrooms, zucchini... some fresh bread from the bakery, and some boneless, skinless chicken breasts... cut the chicken breasts into bite size pieces and saute in a fry pan until golden brown... put the chicken into one bowl, the broccoli into another, the mushrooms into another... slice the fresh bread into 1-1/2 inch squares, and put the squares into another bowl... grab the skewer and have a good time. (Our family tradition also includes a fine red wine and a chick flick...)

Anyway--I have given this as a gift to many people, and all have raved about it. A MUST for any family. Little kids love it (and they will eat their veggies with no discontent), adults love it too.

A definite keeper!

After using this fondue maker, we have completely converted to electric. The fondue pot heats quickly and evenly, and maintains the perfect temperature down to the last bite. With the teflon coated pot, clean up was a breeze. We will not go back to the hassle of using fondue fuel, which would burn the cheese at the bottom of the pot!

Excellent product, great price. So far have had no problems with it. It is good for entertaining.
