My Cuisinart Grilling Platter makes cooking fish and vegetables much easier. I've always had issues with my fish filets falling through the grill grate, and this product keeps my filet intact and presentable when I have guests over. Same with thin-cut vegetables like asparagus and squash. The handle easily locks into place when it's time to remove everything from the grill, so I can just bring it to my patio table and serve it there.

I'm disappointed in this product. The detachable handle, while clever, has issues 'locking' into place. It has to grab two places but the little hooks don't quite line up making it a tricky to try to pick up. Then, first time I used it the whole thing warped because the steel isn't quite thick enough. It still works (it goes on the grill and wobbles there) but it is not like I hoped it would be.

When it first arrived I planned on sending it back. The handle would not stay in, even with nothing on the platter. My DH insisted on trying to fix it. He adjusted it just enough that it worked as it was supposed to. I have used it since, haven't had any problems but I'm not as confident as I would like to be.

I am very impressed with my "Cuisinart...Grilling Platter" which arrived today via UPS just three days after I ordered it. It came perfectly packaged; neither the outer box, nor the inner, sturdy and attractive actual product box was damaged. It was heavier than I expected! It is the perfect size to hold a substantial amount of food on the grill, but not too big or unweildly. It has an easy to handle HANDLE which features clever mechanism to connect and disconnect from the platter.

This "grilling platter" is made out of sturdy steel, with holes in just as you see it in the picture. There are no sharp edges. The sides go up around the edges about one inch high, and then there is a lip on top. This makes it to easy to move food around without worrying that it will fall through. The instructions state that it should be washed in hot, soapy water, but not with abrasives like steel wool. It advices to use some other products, including Bon Ami. For best results, spray lightly with cooking oil (like Pam) before using it.

I am happy with this item, and I know that it will get a lot of use in our household. It would also make a very good gift.
