So I have never written a toaster review, but here it goes. My wife fell in love with the looks of this toaster. This is why it is getting 2 stars instead of just one. The toaster is a looker! We received our first one and I was really excited to see how well it worked. You see we are coming from using a toaster oven for over 8 years and thought that it was time to go to a toaster instead. Well the performance was not good. It has a browning dial from 1 to 10. 10 being the darkest. We had the toaster on 1 and it burned our toast. We would have to stand there and watch the bread so that it wouldn't burn. Muffins worked just okay. Frozen waffles and bagels seemed to work fine. They were the only thing that didn't get burned. So since we loved the looks of the toaster we sent it back to Amazon and ordered a new one. I had high hopes that this one was going to be the one. Nope! #2 toaster did the same thing. Oh well, I am sending this one back to Amazon and ordering the pink Kitchen Aid ($20 more). We'll see how that one goes. Hey if you only eat frozen waffles and bagels maybe this toaster is for you.

This toaster is the perfect pale pink shade and fits perfectly in my kitchen cabinet. Per a previous review, I was cautious on my first toasting experience and had the toaster at a level 3 with a medium thickness slice of cinnamon bread. At level 3 it came out a bit too dark for my taste, but it was not burned. On the second attempt I toasted at level 1 and the toast came out perfectly. I then purchased a thinner raisin bread for toast and you have to watch it at level 1. However the cancel button works instantly to eject the toast and stop the cooking. In spite of the quickness with toasting, I love this cute little toaster.

I have to agree with the other comments about burned toast. The first time I used this, I set it on 3 (on a scale of 1 being the lightest, 10 being the darkest), and the toast was burned black. I have learned to never put the dial above 1-1/2. Otherwise, the burned areas have to be scraped or the toast tossed. That said, it is an absolutely gorgeous toaster, and I like the Defrost feature because I often keep bread in the freezer.

I purchased this toaster, only because it was made in the color pink. However, after using it, I found it was a good quality toaster. I love my Cuisinart toaster. My mother-in-law wanted a new toaster for her birthday and I did not hesitate to purchase a white Cuisinart toaster for her. She told me she loves her toaster. It is a much better toaster than those cheap $10-$15 toasters you can buy at Wal Mart or a discount store. I highly recommend this toaster.

I'm a college student and I bought this toaster for my first apartment. I've had it for three weeks now. The price is great, I like that $7 of the sale goes to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and LOVE the pastel pink color. It does what it's supposed to, though it runs rather hot. For people like myself who prefer things on the burnt end of the spectrum, it's not a problem. However, I'd suggest keeping it on a low setting and watching for sugary items like toaster pastries and waffles to avoid a catastrophe. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I was disappointed in the toaster because even on lite the toast burned on one side

Bought this toaster to replace my dead $200.00 toaster that was only 5 yrs old. This toaster is pretty in pink, toasts the bread really fast and has easy to use buttons. Pull out crumb tray works and is easy to clean. I can't see spending more than $30.00 for a toaster again as this works just as well as the high priced versions. When it quits, toss it out without regret! A very high quality item. I will purchase again. P.S. Cuisinart has the longest warranty on the market!!!!! I know, I checked!

I just love the color, it's softer and prettier in person than the picture can show. The toaster is a bit smaller than average so takes up a bit less room on the counter while doing the same great job of making morning toast. I like the illuminated dial that shows the toast darkness because it is a more vivid reminder to check the setting before you push the bread down.

Cuisinart appliances have always been winners to me and pink has always been my favorite color so it's a win-win in my book.

This toaster is perfect for families that are looking for a budget-friendly and simple, few-frills toaster. I primarily use this toaster for bagels, waffles, and toast, and everything has turned out wonderfully. I would buy this again as a gift for friends and family.
