I just got these yesterday, so I haven't had a chance to actually use them but my biggest concern with them before I purchased were how well the lids stayed on because I've encountered other mixing bowls that came with awful loose lids. I'm glad I took a chance with these because these lids are great. They go on really snug & have a handle on two sides that you actually need to use to get it off the bowl, which is a good sign of how well they fit. The lid is of a hard plastic but the edges that sit in the bowl seem to be a softer plastic, which allows them to conform to whatever way you start pushing them into the bowl. Other SS mixing bowls I've seen with lids seemed to all just sit on the bowl and not actually make a seal of any sort, so these are great if you need a good seal and don't want food smells mixing in the fridge. And the bowls feel like a good weight considering their size. I was intent on buying all stainless steel bowls because I wanted to be able to use them to double-boil stuff but SO many of the other stainless steel bowls have a silicone or rubber bottom, which would not work well for my purposes (considering the bottoms are just glued on, it probably wouldn't survive boiling water) so I'm glad I found these. Also, I honestly did not know mixing bowls were going to cost me that much (first stainless steel mixing bowl set for me & first time buying nice, good quality things for my kitchen) but I think the $39.99 I paid was worth it considering the other stainless steel bowl options out there that don't come with lids.

I never realized how expensive stainless steal mixing bowls where, but compared to some other brands these are reasonably priced and come with lids. I own other Cuisinart cookware products (like the Multi Clad Pro cookware) so it was kind of a no brainer as they haven't let me down yet. Bowls feel well constructed and are attractive. The craftsmanship is good, good brushed stainless steal look. The lids fit snug, and at least from my initial tests are water tight. However the lids are plastic and I'm not sure they will stay that way over extended use. I stored some steamed veggies in them for a few days and they worked really well.Overall these are a good buy, but after all they are just bowls.

I love these bowls. I have not had any issues with them yet. I thought they would be too loud when using a hand mixer with them since they are metal but it really is not. I love that it comes with the lids too.
