I purchased this several years ago and have been a week-end machine until recently when I no longer have to go to an office. I've always loved how it alarms when it is ready after brewing and indicates when ready to turn off automatically. I especially LOVE this machine when it automatically brews to a time you set, obviously prepping is needed the night before.. so when I wake up, it is ready with a fresh pot! Another upside is that one does not need to buy filters to operate.

I purchased this machine and we only use it on the weekends but had it 4 years so our 3 yr warranty ran out. I happened to be in my kitchen when it almost burnt my house down! I called Cuisinart and they sent me out the wrong replacement in what they said they would send because we went out and bought the grind & brew because we did not want this model again. Well, they sent me this model so I called and even spoke with Clint (their supervisor) and he would not exchange the machine for the grind and brew because it was slightly more expensive! I could not believe what I was hearing! I explained everything to him and yet he would not send me the one that I was told I would be getting. I again, explained this almost burned my house down and you will not stand behind your product and bend over backwards since my house almost burnt! He said "NO"! I could not believe it! This company would rather not be out a few extra bucks I guess than to go to court on the matter which I fully intend on doing! If I was a consumer I WOULD NOT buy from cuisinart and if you would like to write something here of problems you have had then be my guest. I am sooooo upset over this and I probably sound very angry but feel I have a right to be! If you purchase a coffeemaker from them. Email me and I will say some prayers for you & your family so your home is safe...
