5.0 out of 5 stars Cuisinart DCC-750 Coffeemaker
My Cuisinart DCC-750 Flavor Brew 12-Cup Coffeemaker is exactly what I wanted! It is programmable to start brewing when you want it to and will turn itself off as well! It has all the features I wanted, in the color I wanted to match my other appliances. You might be surprised, but a full-featured coffeemaker in White is not easy to find! The water filter was a feature...

1.0 out of 5 stars Cuisinart quality is decreasing...
It seems like all of the companies that used to make high quality coffeemakers have gone downhill. First Krups, then Braun and now Cuisinart. These companies have all started to use more plastic and cheaper electronics.
I went through 2 DCC-750s before I finally gave up. With the first one I received, the base started to melt around the warming plate after a week...

The water filter was a feature I didn't expect, but I think it helps the flavor of the coffee.

It works perfectly; and looks great! I am very happy with this purchase.

I went through 2 DCC-750s before I finally gave up. With the first one I received, the base started to melt around the warming plate after a week. I exchanged it for another and that one didn't work at all! I filled it with water, pressed the start button - nothing.
I suggest getting your hands on an older model that is still new in the box - if you can find one at an overstock type retailer. Sometimes newer just isn't better...

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't last long, had to replace after only a year., January 6, 2012

After about six months of use, the carafe began to drip every time we poured coffee from it. The machine is constructed of lower quality plastic. I don't like the design of the reservoir cover because when you open it to refill, condensed water from the last cycle will drip all over your counter top. The warmer plate heat is not adjustable, so after about half an hour the coffee will taste burned. I like the cone shaped filter. The coffee it makes tasted good as long as you pour it immediately. We were disappointed to have to replace it only after a year as the dripping carafe became too much of a hassle.

We bought a Melitta 12 cup drip machine on Amazon that we love. The Melitta's carafe doesn't drip, and everything about the machine is much better than this Cuisinart. Somehow, both machines are in the same $50 price point.

5.0 out of 5 stars brews hot coffee well and has very convenient options, November 10, 2011
This review is from: Cuisinart DCC-750 Flavor Brew 12-Cup Coffeemaker, White (Kitchen)
we got this as a gift and are pleased. it brews our coffee nice and hot which is important to us at home. 24 hour programmability for up to 12 cups is convenient.Being able to brew smaller pots like 1 to 4 cups is great for an extra brewing when we want a afternoon fresh brewed cup of coffee. We also like that it comes with a good ole gold-tone coffee filter, we use it all the time.

1.0 out of 5 stars STARTED SMOKING & MELTED-DANGEROUS!!!!, October 29, 2011

We purchased this coffee pot in February 2010 & today it started smoking & the plastic started to melt. The smell of melting plastic is disgusting.

I guess making your coffee pot cheaper so you can make a larger profit is the way of the world. Who cares if a few houses catch on fire in the meantime?

Made in China, why would anyone trust them to conform to proper standards after what they have done in the past. They have & always will cut corners.

Really disgusted, not even 2 yrs. old!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not terrible, July 11, 2010

This is a good looking coffee maker and works well. The only beef I have is the difficulty in filling the water tank. The opening is just too small and the lid gets in the way. I always have to wipe up the water that spills on the counter. Oh well. Good coffee.

1.0 out of 5 stars Overflows Easily, July 18, 2011
This review is from: Cuisinart DCC-750 Flavor Brew 12-Cup Coffeemaker, White (Kitchen)
Bought this coffeemaker (in black) because we needed a 12 cup coffeemaker under 13" tall due to low overhead cabinets in a cottage. Either we had a lemon or the design must be flawed because the flow of water into the carafe did not keep up with the water dropping into the grounds in many situations. This resulted in water & grounds overtopping the cone filter/plastic basket and dropping into the water reservoir as well as slipping behind the cone filter and into the carafe. Here is when it backed up:
1. Used supplied gold cone filter: Always backed up and overflowed for 8 cups water or more, even with very coarsely ground coffee and pressing the 1-4 cup setting (thought that might slow down the flow of water).
2. Used recycled paper cone filter (fairly thick filters): Usually backed up for over 8 cups water, especially using coffee ground to a "cone filter" grind at Starbucks.
3. Used bleached paper filter: Did not back up except when making 10 cups or more of stronger coffee with a finer "drip coffeemaker" grind like Starbucks. We actually had better luck using a basket style filter.

The bottom line is we can't have a coffeemaker we're always worried about making a huge mess. Next we're going to try the Mr Coffeemaker JWX27 due our height restriction (keeping fingers crossed).

1.0 out of 5 stars Stay Away From Cuisinart, December 8, 2011

I have had it with Cuisinart. Their customer service is terrible. I had a $100+ toaster/convection oven for less than a year, and the handle to open the door fell off. Called them up, and they said they couldn't replace it because I did have the reciept!!! Told them it was a gift from last Christmas, they couldn't care less. They have defintely gone downhill, apparently in more ways than one after reading some of the reviews on this coffee maker! I will NEVER buy another Cuisinart product!

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing coffeemaker, December 10, 2010
This review is from: Cuisinart DCC-750 Flavor Brew 12-Cup Coffeemaker, White (Kitchen)
Our Bunn coffeemaker had finally died, and I thought we would try a Cuisinart due to their reputation.
We used the Cuisinart for several months, and I realized I didn't look forward to my coffee any more.
When I poured a cup, I had to wait for it to cool so I could drink it, even after adding cold milk. The
coffee was bitter from the too hot water! Also, the hot pad was already peeling, the white plastic discolored,
and my coffee-maker husband was complaining about how awkward the maker was to fill with water. You could not
fill the basket with coffee unless it was in the pot, making it difficult not to spill coffee grounds while doing
so. We finally wised up and bought another Bunn. Voila! We enjoy our coffee again!! The temperature is right,
it brews in about 3 minutes, and their spray head mixes the water and grounds leaving no bitter taste. Hooray for
Bunn, despite the added cost! It's well worth it!
