This carafe DOES NOT fit DCC-1000 despite the website's claim that it fits Cuisinart 12-cup coffeemakers. It may fit other models, but definitely does not fit the DCC-1000.

The writeup is incorrect. This does not fit all cuisinart 12 cup coffee makers, it definitely does not fit the dcc 1200. While returning it is not difficult through Amazon, it means a trip to UPS and another 2 weeks of waiting for a correct replacement.

I have had to replace this carafe four times in one year. If you accidently tap the carafe even lightly, the whole thing cracks! I can't stand this carafe, but after spending $100 on the coffeemaker, I'm stuck with it for a little while!

It needs to be further specified which models this fits. Not mine.

The only problem I have with this is that the lid is hard to remove. In fact, this was a replacement I bought because the hinges of the lid on the carafe that came with my coffeemaker broke so easily. I put a note on this one to please not remove it at all, but it makes washing it more difficult.

This is an excellent product and I was pleased to find that it was stocked at Amazon. I dropped the original glass pot and luckily it did not break but I thought I better have a spare in case the next time, I am not so lucky. Great product!

I tried filing down the tabs on the lid to make them fit easier, but the tab on the carafe plastic still broke. Cuisinart needs to hire better coffee pot engineers. I'm buying the replacement carafe from Amazon because it's much cheaper than going through Cuisinart.
