Cuisinart DFP- 11 Cup Food Processor,
By Sandy A. Sickafoose (Riverside, Ca United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cuisinart DFP-11 Deluxe 11-Cup Capacity Food Processor (Kitchen)
I have used my food processor everyday since I got it. I don't know what I did without it. Paired with "The Food Processor Bible" by Norene Gilletz, you will make some amazing meals. The time I save on food preparation saves me a lot of energy and time and the unit is so easy to use and clean. The unit is a workhorse, very powerful. I have used it to make whole meals, and making bread is a snap because the kneading is done by the Cuisinart. I highly recommend this machine!

This machine is so great I wonder why it took me so long to buy one. I've tried many of the recipes that came with it and they all turned out great. I make the bread recipe every few days so we always have fresh, delicious bread. Making soup is such a snap. It takes longer to wash the veggies than to cut them in the processor. That is so fast I almost feel cheated out of playtime. I tried the mayonnaise this week, and also the pie dough. I use the processor daily and find it easy to use and easy to clean. The lucite cleans like a breeze in warm water or else I put it in the dishwasher. I couldn't recommend this item more highly...

Can't Beat The Cuisinart Food Processors,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cuisinart DFP-11 Deluxe 11-Cup Capacity Food Processor (Kitchen)
We purchased a Cuisinart DLC-7 in 1981 and still use it today. Unfortunately, after 20 years of serious use, the bowl is cracked and the slicer needs replacing. The cost to purchase these parts almost equals the price of the DFP-11. The only difference in the two units is a 14 cup capacity verses 11! With our kids gone, the 11 cup is perfect--especially at the price offered. Another 20 years and our kids can fight over it!

After watching many cooking shows on t.v., and seeing the ease that the professional cooks used the Cuisinart product, I reached into the wallet and made this purchase. When food processors first came out, I got one back in the very early 80's. It was a no name brand and I totally gave it a great beating which it took without problems or complaint. How I mourned its lost when I finally burned out the motor. I purchased the Cuisinart in March '05 and have waited, wanting to really use it before posting a review. Well, its passed its test. It's taking a beating like my previous no name machine. And the added bonus is that this comes with an assortment of blades, which I have used, and come to love. This model comes only with the big feed tube top, and before I even managed to use the machine the very first time, had misplaced the manual. Cuisinart mailed me a manual, and for a small fee, sold me a flat top. The processor is a breeze to use, easy to clean, stays put on the counter while processing. Looking forward to years of use with this.

A real workhorse,

We received one as a wedding present in 1994 and have used it at least once per week ever since. It's a real tool, not a frivolous gadget or space-waster. Other that buying a new work bowl because the original became clouded, we have replaced nothing.

Great food processor but I would not buy it in white color.,

I bought this food processor about 15 year ago and it had been working great since. The reason for 4 stars is that the color of the base became yellow over time. I was looking for a replacement in stainless still or black, however reading reviews of others who bought same model recently, looks like craftsmanship is now much worse that the older machines. I am therefore staying with my old but no longer beautiful machine that works great. My advice to those who are looking to buy similar machine is not to go with white color plastic base.
