The locking mechanism on my older model Cuisinart Food Processor broke, making it impossible to run the machine. I was able to replace the exact piece through Amazon. Delivery was made in less than a week, so I never skipped a beat. One happy camper!

Good news is it appears to be the same material and quality as the original part. Bad news, is the same, it's not any better. The plastic part in the back for the switch will likely break again.

It fits by DLC7 Super Pro perfectly. I did get a new work bowl as I needed one. You forget just how clear the plastic was when new.

As others have noted, the original Pusher Sleeve assembly is a tight fit. It seems to be off just a small bit. If not for this common problem, I would give it 5 stars. For the $25 a new Pusher Sleeve costs, I can make do with a bit of care.

The cost of all three plastic parts add up. But the motor base is more powerful and of better quality than most of the ones you will find today at any price. I'll likely go through another set or two of plastic parts before the base or I wear out.

Now if they would just make a covered disc blade holder to hold all the blades. The DLC-DH is not up to the task. The design of the Cuisinart Blade and Disc Holder BDH-2 is good. If there was a matching companion that held 8 more blades, I'd buy it today. End of rant.

Works on my Cuisinart just like the original. The plastic is of lower quality than the original so I doubt it will last 25 years. Hopefully it will last 5 years...
