I've had a Cuisinart food processor, almost since the brand started to be sold in the United States, which was a lo-o-ong time ago. The Large Pusher Sleeve Assembly used to last as long as the bowl, but not any more. I go through two of these pusher sleeves a year (sometimes 3 if I'm really unlucky). Cuisinart must be making them out of shoddier plastic than was earlier the case. I'm sticking with the Cuisinart brand (I've never had a problem with the food processor motor), but I wish the company had retained its original high standards concerning the manufacture of the machine's plastic bowl assembly.

The little tips that are part of the locking mechanism usually break off first, and I can still get the food processor to work by pushing down on the inner sleeve with my hand, but eventually the whole plastic tab breaks loose, and then I have to replace the whole large pusher sleeve assembly.

You will see cracks develop in the whole sleeve right away, and it also discolors rather easily, but you have to have the sleeve in order to run the machine.

The product works perfectly for about and a half until the clips break on the back of the pusher that hold the pusher down and engage the safety mechanism. Then you have to buy a new pusher. I am now ordering my fourth replacement. Each one has lasted about 1.5 years. I am happy with its function, just not its durability.

This piece was the only part to our Food Processor that had cracked and become virtually unusable. The unit itself is about 20 years old, with no issues, so it made no sense to buy another one for $200+. This piece is an original factory replacement part, not some second-hand cheap knock-off. It's the real deal and is just a solid as the original part. We hope to get another 20+ years out of it. For less than $30, it's a bargain, especially with Amazon's FREE SHIPPING. I was concerned reading some of the reviews here that this pusher sleeve would be a cheap, flimsy replacement part or wouldn't fit at all. My Cuisinart is over 10 years old and the tab finally snapped off the sleeve assembly. Obviously, given how long the original lasted, we aren't as hard on this appliance as some who have written here, but the piece I just received looks like a quality part, snaps in cleanly and feels sturdy enough to last another 10-12. I am very happy with it so far. [My Cuisinart is the Deluxe 11TM and the lid the pusher assembly slides into on my appliance is labeled DLC-8 on the top and DLC-877BTX on the front lock.]

EDIT: It's November 2011 and the pusher sleeve is still fully functional and looks great.

I commend the seller, my pusher sleeve assembly arrived more quickly than I expected! What's frustrating is that this is the third time I've had to replace this particular part of my Cuisinart. I've noticed that next generation models have metal components, so I look forward to someday replacing the whole Cuisinart unit. Only problem is, the motors go forever...

My food processor gets a lot of use and the top sleeve/food pusher finally wore out. I found cheaper pieces on ebay and several less reputable sites, but used Amazon for their legendary fast, reliable service. Thanks!

My 2 year old pusher sleeve broke when dropped during Thanksgiving preparation. I received a new one quickly and was back in business for the rest of the holidays. It works just like the original.

Replaced bowl and cover parts for older processor. DLC-018BGTX part is shoddy, small parts have broke easily, cracks developed and Cuisinart warranties it for 30 days only. Very disappointing.

When I ordered this "large" pusher sleeve assmebly, I thought it would allow me to process larger pieces of fruits or vegetables. This is pusher sleeve is the same size as the one that came w/ my food processor which requires me to cut vegetables and fruit into pretty small pieces to fit through the opening. Also, I have an older food processor - purchased in the mid-1990s. This pusher sleeve does not fit my food processor even though the description indicated that it would. If you are trying to replace a broken pusher sleeve on a newer model food processor then this product might work for you. Unfortunately, it didn't for me. The good thing is that Amazon made it extremely easy to return!!

This product was a perfect replacement for the broken feed tube on my DLC 11 cup cuisinart. No problems, good price.
