The Lexan work bowl is virtually shatterproof and impervious to heat or cold. There's the familiar stainless-steel chopping blade and a dough blade. Stainless-steel slicing (4 mm) and shredding discs, a plastic spatula shaped for the work bowl, a recipe booklet, and an instruction video showing basic use, tips, techniques, and preparation of some recipes from the booklet complete the package. (Existing Cuisinart blades and discs also fit this machine.) Cuisinart warranties the motor against defects for 10 years and the remaining parts for three years. --Fred Brack

My family has owned Cuisinart Food Processors for over 25 years! We have NEVER had any problems with any of the models. I purchased a second one for my mother when she retired. There was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with her original Cuisinart Food Processor (about 20 years old); however, I wanted her to have a new one. And, if you need a replacement part (due to the darn thing just giving out), there is a website that offers all of the parts you could possibly need. We have only had to order from them once, and that was because the part finally gave out! This Cuisinart and another of a different colour were recently purchased for two of my nieces. Just about every household in our family has , at least, one Cuisinart Food Processor! You pay for what you get!

After having ruined a few cheap food processors while shredding cheese, i found that the cuisinart had a blade for grating cheese. It works just great. Downside, i believe it is built in China, and since i am suffering from chinese dry-wall, I had promised myself not to buy anything from china.
