The standard set is invaluable, but there are still many things I couldn't do. With this 3-piece set, I now have almost every blade needed to gourmet my way to food heaven. The julienne disk lets me do things I lack the patience for, while the thick blade lets me slice things like lettuce and tomatoes at a decent thickness, rather than the skimpy 4mm standard blade.

The fine grater is a good touch for finesse. Try doing a whole tangerine or orange by hand without scraping your fingertips and cursing the night. Blood orange never was a good color anyway.

Seriously, the set is a nice addition to the standard set of Cuisinart blades.

I bought this hoping to use it to prepare Matchstick-size vegetables. The julienne disc included in this set does nothing different than the shredding disc which comes standard with the machine.It works fine on harder foods like potatoes and carrots(rendering a "julienne" very similar to a shred.) It absolutely pulverizes any water-based vegetables like peppers & squash. I experimented extensively with different foods and I only got the perfect julienne on very hard foods.

The blades are also difficult to clean.

For my money, I prefer the "french fry disc". But, if you like shoestring fries, this is the disc for you.

Discs are very good, excellent quality. However, you do need to know how to use them, as the documentation with them is poor.

These make meal prep MUCH easier and are also easy to clean! I have made salads and salsa in the bowl with changing out the blades for varied texture. Start with the driest ingredient first so the contents are less soggy. If you slice up a salad and have too much liquid, put it in a salad spinner and whisk away the moisture, it works great!

I would add that having more blade discs can be a hazard if simply kept in a drawer, so think about getting an extra holder when ordering. I got several holders on amazon for very little $$$ and free shipping to boot. Beats losing the tip of your finger while shuffling in a drawer for the right disc!

Great additional disks for your 7 or 11 inch Cuisinart Food Processor. Makes food preperation almost fun.

The specialty disks allow you to grate and slice different sizes just by switching the blade. The cutting edges are sharp and effective.

Why pay all the money for a processor when you don't have all the tools to make it really work for you. These finish the collection and make it easy to do everything! Now I can make my Cuisinart blender worth the money I paid for it---I can do practically any thing with it.

Great set. My wife loves them. Get the case to preotect the investment.

These extra blades I bought for my new Food Processor are really nice. I like that they are dishwasher safe and the blades being stainless steel will never rust. They change out really easy and safely. This 3-set package adds much versatility to my food processor.

They seem just fine, though a bit pricey so i hope they are made to last. Over all very happy with my purchase~~:)
