I purchased this work bowl cover to replace a cracking work bowl cover on my current Cuisinart Food Processor. Unfortunately, it does not fit my existing base. I was so happy the new lid worked. Our 30 year old Cuisinart came back to shinny new life. If it makes it another 30 years I will defiantly recommend the entire assembly as a worthwhile product.

I tried to buy this item from the Cuisinart website. I was told that I had to buy the entire bowl with all the parts which would be about $130.00. I knew I could buy a completely new food processor for less. I found just the part I needed at the Amazon website for $24.50. Thanks Amazon!

Don't get me wrong - I love the ease of finding and purchasing products from Amazon.com and I regularly shop here. But in this case I was able to find the DLC-877BGTX-1 - Cover with Large Feed Tube (Gray) for $19.95(plus 6.95 P&H) at CuisinartWebstore.com. Ordered 11/24, arrived 11/27. Not too shabby.
