i have this item and recomend it to anyone who cooks. very easy to clean, good weight and price is right. have it for a year now and no problems with it at all. those who do or did, don't know how to use or clean it. i have cusinart pots and pans from 30 years ago and they still function like day one. i also have the first cusinart food pocessor it still works perfectly. only replaced the nylon shaft sleeve after 25 years of use.

I bought the set, which included an 8" skillet. I was amazed at how easy fried eggs slide out of the pan. The 8" is good for 2 or 3 eggs.

I have an induction stovetop. These work great.

I want a crepe pan, which they do not have. My only negative comment about this series of cookware is that they have a very limited selection.

Very pleased so far with this cookware.

Check out my review on the set that matches this pan! I gave a detailed review of these pans there. I will never go back to using my old nonstick pans, that's for sure!

This pan is true to its advertising. Cook's magazine scored it well and they were certainly correct. It heats evenly (on my gas stove) and cleans easily. I'm enjoying using it.

Pros:

PTFE & PFOA free
All Natural

Cons:
Not as not stick as other non-sticks

I also bought a ScanPAn frying pan that is very non-stick, more than this one, but still employs PTFE, ugh. With that one, I didn't even need to use a spatula, a small shake released the egg I was frying, flip, cook other side, slide onto plate. Thomas' english muffin with taylor ham and a fried egg. Yay for breakfast. With this one, I still needed to pull out the spatula to gently scrape it off, though no traces of egg was left on it. It is also harder to clean. With the other pan, the instructions say to add cold water once done cooking to use the steam to loosen debris and then just rub with a sponge. It is really that simple without any warping. The Cuisinart still had some issue getting it clean after cooking a piece of meat on it. I don't use heat higher than medium. It is cheaper though than the scanpan which is why I got theirs in 8" and this one in 10". If scan pan's 12" were cheaper I'd get theirs, but I'll settle for this brands due to pricing.

Edited:

I had to come back and edit it after more time using it. It is horrible, beyond belief. The first time was acceptable and I fried an egg sans oil. I've cooked using oil and is still sticks. I need to let food soak with water after cooking just to get to clean it. I'm going to but PAM to use with this pan, though it should not need it. Most non-stick manufacturers will even tell you that it is not recommended as it impedes the not-stick surface from doing it's job, but in this case, it already isn't. I don't heat it past medium, I don'y use abrasives to clean it, and I've cared for it like a baby. Scanpan's stainless steel is so much better, too bad I got an 8" for it, gotta save for the 12" I guess. A well treated cast iron skillet works better than this garbage.

Amazon says I bought this pan in September of 2012 and it is now May of 2014. At first I was a bit skeptical of this pan. It took a long time to heat up, everything seemed to stick to it, and because I wanted everyone to be careful with it, my husband and daughter never wanted to use it.

Since that time, we've all become used to it. We never turn the heat up beyond medium low. The secret is to put a little oil (definitely *not* Pam or anything with ingredients other than oil) in the pan and preheat for five minutes on medium-low. (On my stove, the "5" mark is medium, so I keep it on "4.") After the preheating, you are good to go. I brown veggie burgers, cook stir-fries, make nicely toasted grilled cheese, and even cook perfect pancakes all with no problem. I have a smaller Green Gourmet pan that my husband uses when he cooks something for himself, but we all use this larger pan with no problem now. We really just had to get used to it. No metal utensils, no high heat, no dishwasher. To clean this pan, most of the time I wait for it to cool, then add a little water into the pan and allow it to soak for a few minutes (not longer than a half hour or so). Usually most everything comes right off. I use a little dish soap to swish around and use my fingers or a sponge to gently nudge anything else off (if there is anything).

My pan came with a little booklet that said that the pan could be seasoned periodically in the oven. I don't remember how to do it, and I have never done it, but it might be useful to people who have had trouble with their pans. I recommend Dawn Power Dissolver if you have any sticky oil residue or anything that doesn't come off the pan easily.

The non-stick feature does eventually wear out and you need to replace them (5-6 years in my case). Use as low a level of heat as possible and flexible plastic spatulas for long life. Use cast iron for the torching jobs. Handle in front is nice. Will get another when this one wears out.

I ordered this because I was looking for an induction compatible frying pan that was Teflon coated to compliment my Duxtop Stainless Set which wasn't non-stick. I was new to Stainless and quickly learned cooking eggs and things like potatoes and such were a pain in the but; consistently sticking to the pan surface. And hash-browned potatoes, forget it. So I found this pan had great reviews and came with a nice fitting lid, purchased it and have used it now for about two weeks. And I think it's an awesome pan. I was honestly apprehensive about buying Cuisinart again because my last $110 set I purchased as a one-time Christmas Buy had the non-stick coating delaminating in two months, and they're quality of their pans was questionable in early 2012 it seemed. But from the looks of these pans, they seem to be of a different coating quality, and the non-stick works extremely well!! I am quite pleased with it. I should mention some of the pans attributes - the finish luster is more of a brushed finish, the pan lid fits extremely well (was surprised), the handle is great, runs cool. Overall i'd buy the 12" version of this and possibly a set in the future.
