The design here is good, and the product works pretty well. The only problem is that it's only about 3-1/2" in diameter, which if fine if you like small burgers, but I generally like to make mine about 5" in diameter.

Making burgers is easier with this patty set. Your hands don't get as messy and your burgers come out better than if you shape them by hand. You can also make the patties as thick as you want.

I was hoping to be as happy with this product as the other viewers. But alas I'm not. The press itself functions as it should. But one of my issues is I found the size of the patties to be too small. I use 90/10 beef, but even with that they cook down too small. Also, the plastic isn't durable. I dropped a couple containers and pieces of the plastic broke off. I'm a bit disappointed in Cuisinart. I own many of their products, and this is the first that wasn't up to par.

If you like smaller patties, and can guarantee you won't drop them, then this would be a great product for you.
As for me, I'm looking for a bigger, stronger, hamburger press.

This product was well worth the money in comparison to similar brands that are more expensive. Since it only comes with 4 covered burger containers I purchased 2 sets. Not only did it double the containers but it allowed someone to assist if you had a lot to make. I just made a batch last night. I have some in the individual containers and the rest in a large one with the hamburger parchment paper between the burgers.

We got this out of the box, washed it and used it right away. We honestly love it. I use it for making anything that can be made round. The burgers we made turned out great! (on a side note, make sure to make a small hole in the middle of your patties so they do not shrink up as bad) The stoarge containers and lids are great additions as well. I do wish they would have at least put some no nonsense instructions in the box. All you get is the item itself, nothing more. But it is a simple but useful item. I did use it make small cakes as well, I baked a 13x9 and pushed the large circle (patty former) into it and made them. It has got tons of uses and cleans up easy. Well worth it,

This is so handy...I like to know what's in my hamburgers so I tend to make mine like a meatloaf of sorts with added ingredients and it takes me an hour at the most and I can have enough patties to freeze for a few different dinners. It's cheaper than buying store bought patties and is healthier. I add ground turkey to mine, veggies like mushrooms, and oatmeal for binder and the kids never know! I have even made pure ground turkey burgers with some liquid smoke and the kids thought it was hamburger. I completely recommend this product. I have also used it for sausage patties for camping...easy. My hint for you though is to use parchment paper between the patties. MMM, grilled hamburgers sound good for dinner tonight...

The patty maker is WONDERFUL. For years, I had one from Tupperware. The Cuisinart one is almost identical but much cheaper!!

The Cuisinart patty maker is a neat little combination of a standard size burger press with a sealable containers for storing extra burgers. I use it for both normal beef burgers and vegetarian lentil burgers. Its completely non-stick and the sealable containers are great for storing a handful of extra burgers. It is definitely a cuisinart product in that it is heavy duty and everything fits together perfectly - the press fits exactly into the cast, and the cast fits perfectly into the storage containers.

Combine this with a good grill/skittle press (like the Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Rectangular Cast-Iron Grill Press from Amazon or the Williams-Sonoma Grill press) an it is very easy to make perfect 1/4 lb or 1/2 lb burgers.

There's nothing fancy about this set, but there doesn't need to be. The mold is easy to use and easy to clean up. The hamburger patty storage containers are a nice addition.

I love my hamburger patty maker! My husband prefers larger patties, so he doesn't like it as much as I do, but I find it very handy!
