Since you want to keep these things in the freezer all the time, having two is sooo handy. Of course, you need the freezer space for them! But this lets you make back to back batches - without waiting several hours for your bowl to refreeze.

We like our Cuisinart ice cream maker so much that we ordered a second freezer bowl. We have owned several ice cream makers in the past, but the Cuisinart method of freezing the bowl before making the ice cream has minimized the fuss. We can make two batches in less time than the other makes can produce one.

Having an extra freezer bowl stored in your freezer makes ice cream making easy. Great for parties when you need more than two quarts of ice cream. Great when you want to make two flavors of ice cream or make ice cream on two consecutive days. The extra money is well spent.

I bought the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker at Sam's Club for $49.95 and it's a great machine. However, a second bowl for 92% of the the entire machine price is too expensive. For another $5 it is worth it to purchase a SECOND machine, and either 1) Just use the bowl for a second batch or, 2) Make two batches simultaneously.

We added this freezer bowl to the one that comes with the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker so that we would have two frozen bowls to allow us to rapidly make two flavors. Easy to use and much faster and cleaner when compared to the traditional ice cream maker that uses ice and rock salt. We highly recommend this product.

I had ordered the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker and liked it so much I decided to order an extra container to make more ice cream at one time ;-)

I bought the Cuisinart ice cream maker which came with one bowl. But as I always want to keep one reserve bowl in the freezer I ordered this replacement bowl.
It is a great thing; the size fits well into the drawers of the freezer, it freezes fast and thoroughly and it is still frozen when the ice cream is made - so it really does not take much time to re-freeze it again completly.
So far I made chocolate, banana, mango, peach, raspberry and pineapple ice cream and I will never ever buy ANY brand of ice cream - it is sooo much better.

I ordered this spare bowl to keep as a back up, for the times that we forget to put the main bowl back in the freezer. We like to keep the bowl frozen for a least 24 hours. We have tried for 6-8 hours and found that it was not enough to make the ice cream thick. So now we have two bowls, and there will always be one ready in the freezer for when we need to make a batch last minute. Great product, same exact bowl as the stock bowl that comes with the ice cream maker.

I purchased the full machine and then realized I would need more tubs for more flavors. I purchased 2 more and they have paid off, for the company 4th of July potluck I made 3 different flavors, including one dairy free for those that were casin sensitive. They all enjoyed it and loved the fact that I made it in the breakroom and knew it was fresh.

This also is a good price as I was unable to find it cheaper and I am a hunter on bargains.

I keep this in my freezer so I can quickly make a half-gallon of something delicious whenever I want.
