This bowl is a great addition to our ice cream maker.

In fact so fantastic that I had to purchase another bowl so I didn't have to wait as long to make another batch.

An extra freezer bowl for the soft serve maker definitely comes in handy.

This ice cream maker has made a dreary diet fun and tasty! I am on an extremely low fat diet.
with this awesome machine I can make great tasting frozen treats that are fat free or under 1 gram of fat per 2 cups worth which is a normal serving size for me- I use fat free yogurt as the base & fat free coffee creamer for the creme that recipes call for to make ice cream or frozen yogurt. The flavored Coffee creamers are great too if i don't have any fruit, I use plain or vanilla fat free yogurt & Ammeretto or irish creme coffee creamer. Sometimes I use soy milk or rice milk instead of whole milk or creamer. The expiramenting is fun. I didn't have frozen peaches to add to my peach ice cream so I added frozen cut into chunks mangos with fat free peach yougurt & mmm mmmm it is one of my favs now. You can't beat homemade black cherry frozen yogurt- I use fat free black cherry yogurt, fat free creamer & slices of fresh black cherries- the taste can't be beat! It's easy to clean up & if you buy an extra tub to keep in the freezer, you will never have to wait for the one tub to freeze when you have company over. One tub is more than enough for me. I do not use the push to make it go into a cone feature- I don't find that part works very well for me, but remember I'm not using the "traditional ingredients" so, I'm not going to fault this great machine. I love this because I KNOW what's going into the treats I make & I have control over calories & fat etc.

This is a great freezer bowl for making soft serve! I bought an extra one because the key is that you just have to have it in the freezer for at least 24 hours to make sure it is totally frozen. It does not retain its coldness to make a second batch, and it isn't supposed to. It is fun being able to make soft serve ice cream at home.

I read other people's recommendation to get another freezer bowl, so I did - what a life saver! thank you all!! xxoo!!! They are not kidding - if you are expecting more than 3 or 4 people, the extra bowl is a must. Also, for those of you toying with ice cream mixes - Dean Jacobs all the way. It is by far the best. You can really taste the quality - just like dairy queen's it is that smooth. Recipe calls for 1 cp heavy cream and 1 cp whole milk. Use 1.5 or 2 cps heavy cream with the 1 cp whole milk - maybe thats what makes it so smooth?

I purchased the Cuisinart 1 1/2 quart soft serve ice cream/yogurt maker from Amazon several weeks ago. Enjoyed it so much I ordered an additional freezer bowl- also for a Cuisinart 1 1/2 quart soft serve ice cream maker. Unfortunately I threw away the box it came in before I tried out the new bowl. To my surprise (and dismay) it didn't fit. Without the packaging, it was unreturnable (my fault). Who would have thought Cuisinart would make two different 1 1/2 quart soft serve ice cream makers?! Valuable lesson learned.

My grandson loves making ice cream. It works fast and freezes ice cream quickly. I have a few to make enough at one time.

I know this review is for the bowl, but the ice cream maker is fantastic. In fact so fantastic that I had to purchase another bowl so I didn't have to wait as long to make another batch.
Need I say more ...

The Ice cream maker is fun to use and we wanted to do more than one batch at a time as it only makes 1 1/2 quarts max so not much if having a gathering. Having a second bowl ready in the freezer will be great, and the Amazon price was well under what it was on the Cuisinart website! Welcome summer BBQs with homemade ice cream! Also works well making wine slush in such a short time.
