The 8-quart stockpot (11-1/2 inches in diameter, 5-1/4 inches high) is ideal for simmering stocks, soups, and stews. The 3-1/2-quart sauté pan (10 inches in diameter, 3 inches high) has a helper handle and can also go into the oven for braising. (All pieces are oven-safe to 500 degrees F.) This cookware set is absolutely wonderful. First, it has a wonderful appearance. The shiny copper exterior and the stainless steel interior plus a very nicely designed handle makes this set and excellent kitchen display item. Second, this set is excellent functionality wise - it heats up quickly and evenly, cleans easily and just cooks perfectly. Third, it is a lot cheaper than comparable cookware from other makers of cookware with no compromise on quality. A quick note to potential buyers or owner, this set comes with a protective plastic film. This film is easily removed from the side but really sticks to the bottom. Instead of soaking it in baking soda and water mixture as recommended, use 2"- 3" wide packing tape. Get a long strip, press firmly onto the surface and peel slowly and the film will come right off. No soaking needed at all!

The Cuisinart Copper Classic Cookware 10 Piece Set ...is the best price I found anywhere! The equivalent All-Clad set would have cost me over $1,200. I have been cooking for more than 30 years. Most of those years as a professional. This 10 piece set by Cuisinart is based on the All-Clad "Cop-R-Chef" design, just in my opinion the Cuisinart is better quality. Heavier, and just seems to cook better. I would absolutely recommend this set to both professionals and beginners alike. HATS OFF TO CUISINART AGAIN!

I am an amateur chef who loves the challenge and relaxation that comes from creating new and exciting things in the kitchen. Other than reading or programming, it's my only escape. But without good kitchen tools your creativity will be negatively affected. Most people buy what they can afford and the frustration that comes with buying a bargain brand. It's the rare event that you really find a 'true' bargain. Anyway, after considerable research I decided to purchase the 10-piece set. Please shop around for the best price! I can't tell you where I purchased this set because the editors will strike my comments. But, save yourself some money and look around. Before I purchased this set, I did a lot of research looking for the best combination of performance and price. I seriously considered buying All-Clad for their renowned quality but the price was prohibitive. But, after carefully looking at the quality of the Cuisinart set, reading the testimony of others, and through actual use, I realized what a true value this set is. Each piece is solidly constructed with beautiful finishes, strong handles, and very nice lids so you won't have to worry about its longevity. The performance is just as praiseworthy. The pans heat very evenly, I've never had anything stick (I've had mine for about 2 months now), and clean up is a breeze. Deglazing for sauces is very easy. For a true bargain the value and quality of Cuisinart Copper Classic just can't be beat!
