Cuisinart's nonstick stainless-steel cookware features a 100 percent aluminum-free construction that heats up well and cleans up easily. The triple-layer base sandwiches a copper core between layers of professional-grade 18/10 stainless steel for excellent heat distribution and minimal hot spots. The Excalibur nonstick surface system is a multilayer construction of nonstick material bonded to steel for consistent food release and lighter, oil-free cooking. The pieces are oven-safe to 450 degrees F, thanks to their stainless-steel handles.

Whether you're sautéing onions or scrambling eggs, the 8-inch and 10-inch skillets in this twosome let you cook with little oil to no oil at all. Their riveted stainless-steel handles have a heat-resistant rolled construction with holes for hanging, and their rims are flat for easy pouring. Polished to a bright gleam, the mirror finish comes out of the dishwasher like new, though Cuisinart does recommend nylon or wooden utensils with these pans. The small skillet measures 8 by 15 by 2-1/2 inches, and the large one measures 10-3/4 by 19 by 3-1/4 inches. Both come with a limited lifetime warranty. --Emily Bedard

After researching many different kinds of cookware and agonizing about making a decision, I finally decided to purchase the Cuisinart non-stick cookware and have been extremely pleased with the pieces I have purchased so far. This two-piece skillet set is no exception. The pans heat quickly and evenly and the handles stay cool to the touch just like the manufacurer claims. The nonstick finish is excellent,nothing sticks and when cooking is completed it is very easy to clean.

This set inludes the 8" and 10 1/4" pans which I use freqently. If purchased separtately, it would cost much more so buy the set and save!!

I bought the Cuisinart Everyday stainless (without the nonstick coating) for the bulk of my cookware pieces. But, when it comes to doing eggs and omelets, the non-stick is a true benefit. That's where this pair of pans really shine. They seem to take a tiny bit longer to come up to temperature than those without the coating, but you still need to keep the heat lower than with other cookware. My first use of the little 8" pan resulted in a *very* deep brown grilled cheese sandwich for my son's lunch. Now I know to keep it LOW -- about "3" on my electric GE range. The non-stick finish is very good, doesn't scratch easily like my old T-Fal omelet pans (I would never recommend those to anyone) and cleans up in a trice.

Guess it will have to be the non-stick round griddle for my next purchase -- I need something a bit larger to do pancakes. :)

A good deal for the combination of price/quality/shipping discount. The pans are functional, and attractive. Their heat distribution is very good, and the non-stick coating works as advertised.
