I'm an active cook with restaurant experience. When car camping or tailgaiting I've been frustrated with camping cookware. Its either intended for backpacking and too small and lightweight, or the heavy cast iron pieces that are totally unresponsive. I purchased this Cuisinart set and waited to use it a few times before providing review. Basically- its a great set. Its very similar to Cuisinart's Chef's Classic Series except with detachable handles. This means the bases of all the pieces are have an aluminum core and are clad with stainless steel. This provides a responsive piece of cookware that's heavy enough to minimize the hot spots commonly get on a portable stove. The sides aren't clad and while I want this in my home cookware, for camping, no problem. There is plenty of capacity and having two detachable handles makes the set more flexible. Note this isn't lightweight cookware. If you're backpacking you'll still need your little set, but if you're car camping, RVing or tailgating this is set offers a great bang for the buck. Oh yes, plenty of capacity for large meals.

If you need cookware for an RV or small cabin or apartment, this is the highest quality set I've found. The only way they'd get a fifth star would be to add a non-stick frypan, but this is probably picking nits. Everything on this set is of the finest quality; it even ships in a soft cotton bag to protect the set while in transit. Great stuff!

I wanted to depart from toxic non-stick ware, wanted high quality, high performance, without a lot of weight, and got it all. I got it for everyday use, but this will be an essential in our Airstream! My only regret is that just after I purchased it, it was offered on another site for half the price! Still, it is definitely worth what I paid for it, and I can whole-heartedly recommend it.

If you like heavy quality Stainless Steel cookware and you don't have the space at home, or you have an RV, or like me, you move around a bit with your job, this is a perfect set.

If you were to buy some odds and ends from Walmart or a thrift store(like I did at first) you'll pay as much as this, for much less. If you have a use for a compact quality set of pans, buy this set ! You will be very glad you did !

We bought a small RV so space was limited...this product works well and is of good quality.

This is camping gear for the dedicated chef. None better. Buy it, use it, enjoy!!

I don't usually write reviews, but this cookware set deserves one - a high quality product that will last years and take a beating. My son's Boy Scout troop was re-equipping their patrol chuck boxes and purchased another product. After seeing my set, I think they wished they'd purchased this one.

I received my cookware set in a very prompt amount of time. The packaging was great-no dings or dents. I cooked several meals in this set and absolutely love it. It is very durable and cooks evenly. I would definelty recommend this set to all cooks.

I love that the pans fit together to fit snuggly under my cabinets. The removable handles, while easy to take on and off, can be a pain sometimes. They are NOT non-stick, which took some getting used to as well. Overall...great for what I use them for!
