Truly excellent pan,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cuisinart TPC25-32 MultiClad Pro Stainless 12-1/2-Inch Braiser Pan with Cover (Kitchen)
I bought this on Amazon's deep discount for the Multiclad line, which appears to be on closeout. It's a great all-purpose large pan. I bought it instead of buying a 12-inch skillet or Le Creuset-style buffet casserole. It's versatile as you can use it on the stovetop, or in the oven as a baking/braising pan, and then you can serve with it. The quality is very high, perhaps a half-notch lower than all-clad or KithenAid pans, however this was much much cheaper. Functionally it is 10/10ths on par with the best clad lines, however and will certainly last a lifetime. The thickness of the aluminum layer is equivalent to All-Clad's braisers, and slightly thinner than KitchenAid. It heats very evenly. The handles are securely riveted and the lightly brushed finish on the pan is very easy to clean. The lid is domed (more useful than All-Clad's flat lid) and is highly polished (warning: never scrub the lid with anything - like all stainless pans, it will scratch). It cleans up easily and was certainly worth it at the clearance price. Add'l note: people on a budget looking for clad pans should look at the rest of this line. The clearance prices are good value.

Great Multi Use Braiser,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cuisinart TPC25-32 MultiClad Pro Stainless 12-1/2-Inch Braiser Pan with Cover (Kitchen)
This pan is in addition to my other mulit clad pans that I have. One of the several uses I have used this pan is to make Osso Bucco, also known as braised veal shanks, both on top of the stove and in the oven. It goes from stove top to oven without any problems. The dome lid really helps to keep in the flavor and juices without letting it all boil away and leaving dried out meat or worse a burnt dried out pan. The pan also is great from removing from the oven, removing the meat and then letting the juices reduce to thicken over high heat. Other ways I have used this pan is make Spanish Paella, to saute vegetables for a side dish and have even done a flambe of cherries jubilee for a dinner party. The pan is balanced and heavy enough to allow the sautuing motion without the pan dancing around on the burner. Everything I have used this pan for has performed well in it including using it to float candles around a pillar candle for a different type of table centerpiece for a recent holiday. Clean up on this pan is a snap. Just fill it with hot soapy water and let it soak for a short time, then wash as usual. I keep both inside and outside looking brand new with an occasional rub of Bar Keepers Friend cleanser. Its a great pan at a great price. Its also a great addition to any cookware set one I highly recommend.

Goodbye Corning-ware,

When my large casserole dish smashed onto the floor, I started looking for an unbreakable replacement with a snug cover and good handles. I also wanted good value. This quality, Multiclad pan is a tremendous deal. It cooks well on the stove or in it. It looks snazzy while serving and cleans easily. It is large enough for a grand one dish meal such as paella. I have many (14) Cuisinart pots and pans and this beauty completes the collection. Uh, well maybe. One thing more...clear off the top of your fridge because a pan of this size has a broad footprint.

great value!,

Cuisinart's multiclad pans perform as well as the much higher priced All clad. Food doesn't stick, and clean up is a breeze. I love the braiser and use it often. It's perfect for searing meat, then finishing it off in the oven. Also great for stove top dishes like osso bucco. This is one pan I would not want to be without.
