Larger than most peelers, this one measures 9 inches in length and 1-1/4 inches across the thickest part of the handle. I've used better peelers, the scrapping part doesn't rotate easily and it works better coming back than going forward. I have it, I'll use it, but I wouldn't recomend it.

This is one of the most horrible products I've ever had. Quite literally, after washing and peeling about 8 potatoes for dinner, the blade was noticeably dull. Now, it barely peels carrots. What a complete and utter disappointment. I thought Cuisinart would have excellent quality in such a simple tool. I was obviously wrong. It's sad; my peeler from 25 years ago has a sharper blade than this new one does now.

The unit has a very sharp blade. The blade cover is nice when in the tool drawer. Peels very fast. Watch your fingers it is sharp. Replace blades are available from manufacturer.

The handle is very natural and well designed. Well worth the money.
