5.0 out of 5 stars Browning Control Makes It Outstanding
I make a variety of whole grain and fruit waffles. I bought this waffle maker because most of the others do not have an adjustable browning control - I would be guessing how long to leave the waffles in as I tried different recipes. This maker works very well across a broad range of recipes, and by varying the control I can "make to taste" doughy or crunchy...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible!
I tried this waffle iron simply because of the Cuisinart brand and figured it would be as good as their other appliances... it works with certain mixes but if you prefer from scratch, low-fat or special grains pwaffles you are out of luck. Not only did the waffles stick but when you tried to open the waffle maker the top cover does not adhere well enough to give you...

4.0 out of 5 stars Cusinart Waffle Iron, May 3, 2000

Totally frustrated with burnt or stuck waffles on our old, old iron, I knew we needed a new one. Read reviews. Some praised models with an audible alarm at lower price than Cusinart. We chose C because of adjustable dial for donenes, 1-5 scale. Instructions say start with 3. After first try, we always use 4 as best for us. Would be 5 star if it also could go 'ding' when little green light says "done"! Would not be happy with preset thermo.

I purchased this waffle maker several months ago and use it practicly daily to prepare my DELICIOUS waffles. The nonstick coating has not shown any signs of wearing away. Part of the reason is becuase there is such a excellent non-stick finish on it only needs needs a quick wipe of a soapy sponge and a rinse. Yes, it has many nice featured to tell you when you waffle is done. I have been VERY pleased with my waffle maker.

After suffering the woes of other wafflemakers, I eventually threw away 5.....my husband was disgusted....The sunbeam maker only lasted 1 month...I've had this cuisinart now just over a year...and no matter how you like your waffles...this one will do it up right for you

I ordered this Cuisinart waffle maker for my husband's birthday after reading the Amazon.com reviews. It lives up to the reviewers' recommendations. The waffles come out perfectly every time and it only takes a moment to clean. I highly recommend this appliance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Waffle Maker Ever, December 3, 2001

This is my second waffle maker in a year. The first one (Procter Silex) was awful. This is just excellent. Perfect waffles every time. Tips: Use Bisquick mix for waffles; it's the best. Second, use a half-cup measuring cup to pour mix into waffle. This way it won't overflow and make a big mess.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Waffle Maker!, March 10, 2002

This is the easiest waffle maker! Just mix your batter and pour on the griddle. The instruction manual recommends a setting of 3 to make great waffles, but I have found that 4 gives me a crisper waffle. Clean up is easy and fast and it doesn't take up precious storage space. It is more expensive than the ones at local discount retailers, but it is definitely worth it!
