5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Waffles Every Time!
There isn't anything I don't like about this Waffle Maker.

It uses a red light/green light system to tell you when the waffles are ready (other than a noisy timer like other waffle makers). What I liked best about the Cuisinart is that it had 6 setting for lightness/darkness. I like my waffles on the dark side, so I was glad my waffle maker gave me this...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Recommended - Coating is Peeling
After less than a year of weekly use, the coating peeled and waffles started to stick, no matter what greasing method I tried to use. I only used wooden utensils if any, but scratching of the surface nevertheless appeared. I DO NOT recommend this product.

What I liked best about the Cuisinart is that it had 6 setting for lightness/darkness. I like my waffles on the dark side, so I was glad my waffle maker gave me this option.

With it's non-stick surface the waffles come right out, and clean-up is a snap.

The heart shape is fun for kids too! I'd never go back to a regular square or round shaped waffle. You can pull these apart into individual heart shapes or leave them together for one large flower shape.

You'll want to make Waffles every morning with the Cuisinart Heart-Shaped Waffle Maker!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classy, easy to use!, June 13, 2004

This is great. I love the brushed stainless steel. It looks really classy. The heart shaped (or flower-shaped if you keep it whole) is fun and good for special occasions as well as every day. These make good sized waffles- most kids could eat one whole one. Also, the recommended batter amount makes a waffle that is more thin than thick. That is good, because they are more on the crispy side and less likely to be doughey.

The only problem (and it's a slight one) is once you put the batter in after preheating, the waffle maker doesn't register that there is batter in the maker until several moments later. You need to make sure to press down the lid firmly and just know that it will resume a red light and recognize that it is cooking in a few seconds.

There are several fun recipes included with the maker, from chocolate to whole-wheat waffles. The recipe for basic waffles is delicious! This waffle maker been a great purchase for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality product, December 12, 2004

We loved this waffle maker. After trying to save money on cheaper models, we finally decided to buy a quality one. The waffles turned out nice and crisp instead of limp. The only drawback I saw was the lack of an audible sign the waffles were done. With just the green light to tell when they were done, the cook was forced to stay nearby to watch. As we tend to make waffles by the dozen, this was a little inconvenient. All in all though, I would recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Heart This Waffle Maker, July 11, 2004
This review is from: Cuisinart WMR-HBC Heart-Shaped Waffle Maker, Brushed Stainless (Kitchen)
I bought this waffle maker for my friend and we both enjoy it. The red light/green light cooking system works well and is easy to understand. The six different settings allow you to make any kind of waffle from gooey to fluffy to dark and crispy. The non-stick surfaces make it pretty easy to get the waffles out and make it easy to clean. My only word of caution is that the metal outside does become hot when cooking, so watch your fingers and definitely supervise children. It also comes with different batter recipes. I think the heart shapes are more fun and cuter than the regular circle waffles (but what can I say, I'm a girl). I would definitely recommend this product if you want a simple, cute waffle maker that's easy to use.

4.0 out of 5 stars MMMMMM Waffles, March 10, 2006
This review is from: Cuisinart WMR-HBC Heart-Shaped Waffle Maker, Brushed Stainless (Kitchen)
I bought this as a Valentine's Day gift and it is great. The only issue is that the handle gets a bit hot. It is really non-stick, the color code works great for telling you when the waffles are done. The waffles do break apart into the heart shaped pieces as soon as you take it out of the maker, so bigger waffles are not too easy to make. It cleans up really fast except for batter and crumbs being stuck in the hinge area.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Waffle Iron For Those Who Like "Regular" Waffles, September 13, 2005

This waffle iron is great as you can adjust the browness level you want and get the same thing every time. It's hard to find a waffle iron that makes "regular" waffles as most make Belgium waffles. It is nice the way the pettles of the hearts break apart as I like eating my waffles with powdered sugar instead of syrup and I can eat it just like a slice of toast without having to cut. Beware of hot outside however! Only the plastic is safe to touch!

I bought this waffle maker to replace a heart-shape waffle maker we had for 15 years. I didn't think it was possible, but this one is even better than the one we had before. It has a temperature control to adjust the crispness of the waffle (3 1/2 produces golden waffles, perfect everytime), and it's design prevents the batter from spilling out of the griddle itself. Wonderful! Highly recommended for all those waffle lovers out there!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and looks good, October 12, 2005
By
This review is from: Cuisinart WMR-HBC Heart-Shaped Waffle Maker, Brushed Stainless (Kitchen)
We got this as part of our registry here at Amazon.
I usually made pancakes every sunday for breakfast. When I registered and saw this product, I was sure I wanted to have it and make sunday waffles instead.

The product is not complicated and what you see is what you get. If you make a lot of pancakes/waffles, I definately recommend it as it cuts so much time and effort.

Here are some con's:
1. EASY - I used to make the batter and pour it in hear shaped cutters, Wait for it trepeat. So time consuming!o bubble, turn it around, grease the cutter and pan again and

2. One thing that struck me as soon as I opened it was ... WOW THIS IS SMALL! It looks smaller than pictured and very compact, but on the other hand, makes small waffles too.

3. It's very sharp looking, nice crome and small enough to display on the counter top.

4. Non-stick, when they say it they mean it! Nothing sticks on this. The first time I used it I poured a little too much batter in the pans and when I closed it some batter leaked it. All I did was just take it off with my hand after it was dry.

5. Easy to clean. This goes back to the fact that it's non stick, you don't have to clean a pan, spatula, and cutters. All have to do is slightly rinse this and you're ready for next use.

6. Settings. I love the settings because not everyone has their waffles the same way. My husband likes it slightly battered on the inside, I like it crispy. Now I can do both without any trouble.

I only have one con:
Whenever I make waffles in here it doesn't seperate them, it comes out as a whole and then I use scissors to seperate them, which is easy to do but I'm wondering if I am using too much batter. Also you have to really press down hard to close the lid when the batter is in there. I think I just haven't used it enough, a few more times and I'll get the hang of it.

If your family is always demanding pancakes/waffles from you, you need this product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great kitchen gadget, January 21, 2007

This review is from: Cuisinart WMR-HBC Heart-Shaped Waffle Maker, Brushed Stainless (Kitchen)
It's small enough to fit in my little kitchen. It works as advertised. The waffles were fast to make. Clean up is easy. Hardly any needed. I made mine very light (folded in whipped egg whites after the batter was all mixed up.) I can imagine making these heart shaped waffles for dessert.
