I've had and used this cookbook for 30 years. Now tattered, I'm buying a replacement. The recipes wonderfully reliable and remarkably straightforward.

I have used recipes from this cookbook ever since picking up La Cuisine de Mapie in Paris in 1969. It makes French cooking SO easy. Recipes are short, understandable, and infinitely do-able--and did I forget, delicious. Not enough stars for Mapie.
