Product Description

The technique of making sauerkraut, fermented salted cabbage has hardly changed since the Roman times. This peasant vegetable, slow braised and flavored with juniper berries, has become a star in Germanic cuisine. The one dish meal, Eintopf, can be prepared using a variety of fresh and smoked meats. Create delicious Bavarian braised sauerkraut. To Spice Blend you add sauerkraut, onions, carrots, apple, stock, wine and smoked or fresh meats. Easy recipe included. Or it can be prepared and served as a tangy vegetarian side-dish. For vegetarian version, use vegetable stock and omit all meats.
