4.0 out of 5 stars Tight fitting lid, nice window but one little problem..., March 13, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cuisipro 2-Quart Stainless Steel Canister with Viewing Window (Kitchen)
Maybe I did not read the directions and was too eager to start using them but I washed and rinsed the containers before using them for the first time and water seeped between the container and plastic liner. I did not submerge them and was trying hard not to let any water near the seams but it wicked in anyway and took forever to dry out. I'm concerned that over time flour powder will get between and when I wash them again something nasty might grow. I'll probably use a damp cloth to clean them to avoid this.

4.0 out of 5 stars $11.25 for streamlined flours storage, May 24, 2007
This larger size is on sale for only $11.25 and I can finally clean up but still keep within reach flour and teabags. I would never have bothered to indulge in this purchase if I wasn't in property staging mindset. This item qualifies for 4 for 3 promo.

This is really a huge container so too big for coffee or tea in my opinion.

There is ample room for a five pound bag of sugar or flour (I bought ten pound bags from the big box store.) I took the cue from the previous reviewer about not submerging the canister when washing it out the first time. This is basically a plastic lined metal canister or a metal enrobed plastic canister. I am just relieved to have my flour and sugar enclosed in a hard container instead of in giant ziploc bags. I am going to buy more to store measuring cups and spoons and baking cups.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Canister, March 14, 2009

I ordered a set of these. Have been using them for about three years. They still look and function great. They are easy to clean.

5.0 out of 5 stars Air tight, and you can see what's there!, June 27, 2007
I am extremely pleased with this Cuispro cannister. It has a plastic liner, which forms the window in the vertical opening of the outer stainless steel cylinder. I use it for coffee, and each time I open it I'm treated to the wonderful aroma of the roasted beans. It holds over two pounds of beans, so refilling is infrequent. My only caution is that it is fairly large, 9 1/2 " high, 7 1/2 inches across. In my opinion, it is far better than those smaller units with rubber seal and clamp lid. I would recommend it to anyone who daily grinds the beans for her/his coffee.

This canistor is great. A very good silicone seal yet lid is easy to remove. Excellent construction, window in side to view what you have or do not have! And the best part is it looks good not cheesey!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Big enough and able to buy more then one., May 21, 2007
Glad to find canisters I can buy seperatly for whole wheat and unbleached flour. Most canisters make you buy a set with coffee and tea jars that I don't use. Shipping was expensive. Shipping was charged to both seperatly even though they were in the same order, but it is worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looking good, May 12, 2007
By
Bought the 3,2,1 quart canisters to replace my ceramic ones. Looks great on my counter and takes up less room because of its design. The seal is pretty strong so sometimes I need to handle it with both hands in order to open it but I store tea bags and Spenda packets in them so I don't necessarily have to close it all the way. Would be great to store loose flour and sugar if that is your intent. Plus the little window shows how much of the product you have left. Only drawback are the fingerprints but that's what you have to deal with with stainless steel.
