From bud vases to baby bottles, consumers encounter a variety of narrowed necked vessels that are nearly impossible to clean with a typical sponge or scrub brush. Recognizing the need for consumers to better clean those hard to reach places, Cuisipro introduces a completely new innovation: Magnetic Spot Scrubbers. Cuisipro's new Magnetic Spot Scrubbers are perfect for long, narrow spaces, such as wine decanters, pitchers and vases. The design consists of two pieces: a spot scrubbing knob and a silicone scrubbing disc. The two pieces are magnetized. To use, simply drop the silicone scrubbing disc into a dirty vase or other vessel and pour in warm, soapy water. Align the magnetic spot scrubber know on the outside wall of the vessel to the silicone scrubbing disc until the two pieces lock. Glide the knob over the hard to reach areas of the vessel and the silicone scrubbing disc will clean as it moves. When finished, pull the knob away to release the bond with the scrubbing disc. The soft nubs of the silicone scrubber will not scratch glass and, when finished the Magnetic Sort Scrubber easily rinses clean. Not recommended for the dishwasher.

I'm finding this to be very handy for cleaning out some gallon jugs that I use, but I've tweaked the scrubber just a bit to make it work better. As it comes, the internal scrubber just has some wide-spaced nubs that makes it hard to scrub things clean. I decided to wrap a small piece of a (thin) dish cloth around the internal piece (wrapped like a hershey's kiss, with a tie-wrap holding it on), and that cloth does a much nicer job of scrubbing the bottle. I find that this works much better than a bottle brush, and the strong magnets easily drag the scrubber all over the inside surface.

Not quite up to expectations

I ordered the magnetic spot scrubber for a tall juice pitcher. I have problems getting the bottom of the pitcher clean and this product sounded perfect. But it just didn't do what it claimed to. I tried it several times and it hardly got any of the residue off. I'm disappointed to say the least.

We use ours as a fish bowl cleaner for my sons' Betta. They have similar items that are for cleaning fish tanks (which is probably where they got the idea for this) but they are large and rectangular. This is better for smaller applications.

Great Hummingbird Feeder Cleaner

I couldn't figure out how to clean the inside of my hummingbird feeder because it had a small opening, but a large, curved bottle shape. A bottle brush didn't touch the sides. I spotted this at a kitchen store and tried it. It worked perfectly.

My New Kitchen "MUST Have"!

I have several wine glasses, vases, and other items, that were very difficult to get into...get to the bottom of. My hand wouldn't fit, and a bottle brush was either too abrasive, or missed too many places towards the bottom. But this little booger...it just gets it all!

I put detergent and hot water in the glass, etc..., and drop mr. wonderful in, and go to town! It scrubs the insides and bottoms, with no problems at all.

I am completely pleased with this product!
