It is a well crafted work of art.

Especially for the produce we get in Alaska, you really have to work for your juice, be from limes, lemons or any other citrus.

I have had a plastice one with the built in strainer for years...and must admit I hated it, but didn't know why...IT was to smooth and slippery to really grab the flesh. Especially for the produce we get in Alaska, you really have to work for your juice, be from limes, lemons or any other citrus. Things are just not quite as fresh as they are in the states. This reamer rips right through these tough limes and lemons with hardly any effort. WHAT A RELIEF this tool is! I even did my own product test between the old and new with the same batch of limes...I was able to get nearly twice as much juice in less than half the time. If you like to use fresh citrus in your cooking and bartending, but don't want the commitment of a "juicer"...this is a wonderful, easy to store tool.

This is just the neatest little gadget. Much better than the plastic ones and the larger(and more expensive brand name)ones that are on the market. Fits nicely in the hand, is fast, gets ALL the juice out of the lemon, easy to wash and takes up very little room in the drawer. Try it, you'll like it. And at gifting times makes a great little present to the cook.

I received this w/in ten days of placing order. Best value for the money of anything I've ordered in a long time. Use it every day. It's easy to grip and gets all juice and pulp out in a matter of seconds. Easy clean up, too.

I love this tool. It is a well crafted work of art. I love the feel of it in my hands. It is easy to use; just slice off the end of a lemon and twist this little tool in and keep twisting/juicing till you've got it all collected in a bowl or wherever you want. Just rinse and wipe off with a towel.

Much better than all those other plastic tools where you have to cut the lemon in half and use two hands to squeeze. Ouch. This reamer is a breeze.

It is a joy to just look at and marvel at how progress in lemon squeezing reached its zenith way back when. Some ideas/inventions cannot be improved upon.

And plus you also will have a beautiful little lemon cup that you may stuff and bake with grains , meats veggies, stuff inside your chicken or fill with potting soil and use for seed starters out in your garden.

I was a little concerned when reading the other reviews about wooden reamers splitting, & I can't speak to that with this one b/c I haven't used it enough to find out if it will hold up. But, it appears to be well made, & works as well as anticipated...much better than a juicer b/c I can get the right pressure to extract all the juice & pulp.

It is a leamon reamer. It does what it is made for. What more can you ask from a piece of wood made to get the juice out of lemons?
It came with no directions, but it works very well if you cut the lemons in half first. I actually use it over a strainer to remove the seeds and pulp.
