The kit arrived VERY quickly, and I got planting right away. The little peat pellets are a very clever way to start seedlings. I'll be using them more in the spring to start my regular garden. The instructions vary for each different type of seed, and most of my seeds sprouted quickly. There was one that didn't come up, but there is plenty of additional starter pellets and seed to do a second, and maybe even a third planting, so no worries. The little seedlings are growing every day! It's pretty fun ;-)

I received this kit over a month ago. I followed the directions pretty closely, although I wouldn't call myself a green thumb. Everything sprouted but about half of the seedlings didn't make it in the long run. Certain plants seem more hardy: cilantro, mint, oregano, chives and basil all have since been transplanted and are doing well. This is a great, easy way to start herbs from seed and the tray is reusable. It also comes with more of the starter "pods" than will actually fit in the tray, so you can always try a second batch later after you have transplanted the first batch to larger containers.

I was very new to growing plants, especially from seed, but this kit is very easy and takes you through the basics of growing herbs from seeds. The seeds are very high in quality and include a huge variety and enough seeds for a couple of years. Great gift, too.

I bought this for my father and step-mother as a gift to keep in the kitchen window of their new house. The herbs grew (and are still growing) plentifully and large with no extra additions, and it's always fun to go over and grab a home-cooked meal from time-to-time knowing that some of these are being included in my step-mother's wonderful cooking (yum yum!) I would like to buy one of these for myself when I have a good place to put it.

The instructions are very thorough! Very cool kit, especially for the price. My first seeds are starting to sprout! Basil came up first. Can't wait to start cooking!

Perfect product for anyone who does not have a yard to plant in, and also for anyone who likes fresh herbs in the convenience of their home year-round!

It sounds like this is a really interesting, fun and well-packaged herb garden kit. Seller is pretty modest about what's included. There's a nice fabric bag that keeps everything together, instructions, and a DVD. Very glad I went with this choice. Shipped fast with Amazon Prime. Good job.

this was a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law who loves to cook. She loved it and was excited to try it.

if your stupid enough to spend $35 on a jiffy pellet tray and some cheap herb seeds you must have money to blow. go to home depot or lowes or even walmart and buy a huge jiffy pellet tray and get some herb seeds and your all set for $15.

They included a laminated guide, a booklet and a CD of herb growing tips. But, no where did they provide the very basic information of 1) whether the plant was an annual or a perennial or 2) how large the plants were expected to grow to. I had to go elsewhere for this information while planning out how they would be potted.
