I found when I replaced this filter, it leaked a bit, so I removed it and moved the little o-ring around a bit and made sure it was even - that did the trick.

I've been using these filters for a several years now, and I finaly replaced the old filter after 2 yrs of use. I got the original filter with an add-on drinking water faucet (just put it in the sprayer hose spot in the kitchen sink).

I consistently get at least 2 yrs from a filter.

No bad odors, colors, or tastes!

You may need to buy flouride supplements or brush your teeth more, since I think it filters out the chlorine and flouride.

A very nice everyday general use water filter.
Easy to install & replace.
Helps water taste better.
I use it as a pre-filter for my refrigerator.

I use it as a pre-filter combined with an EFF-6002A (4396510) in the bottom of my Whirlpool refrigerator.
1 Use copper tubing, because plastic tubing collect bacteria and taste bad.
2 Bend the tubing in coil shape, facing in and out fittings, to align the threading.
3 Lubricate O rings with organic oil (I use coconut oil), to avoid any leak.
4 Use a container under the cartridge, for any leak. Mine licked only once because of my fault.
5 First I replace the refrigerator filter, and after 3 months the 750R Culligan cartridge. Carbon is not wasted because the refrigerator filter captures it.
6 I replace both filters after 6 month each, but 3 month apart of each other.
7 Any time the cartridge is replaced, a discharge about 1 gallon water to discharge the air. After this procedure the water is crisp clean.
8 I buy replacement cartridges by half of a dozen when they are on sale only.
I bought 6 Culligan 750R Drinking Water Filter Replacement Cartridge, for
$8.79 @ FARM & FLEET.

It is just a back up replacement, same as what we already use. Bought this before
Always keep back ups so we know exactly what to buy.

The main advantage of this filter is ease of changing it. You don't even need to turn off the water pressure thanks to a valve in the filter block that does that automatically. The disadvantage is the cost for such small capacity. It has a carbon filter that improves taste and smell by removing some things. It is not intended for purifying water that may be biologically contaminated. I had a subscription going until the last delivery arrived with the price increased about 40%, with no advance warning of the price increase. I terminated my subscription. I may decide to move to a higher capacity water filter that delivers more bang for the buck.

I have a Culligan IC-1000 water filter system on the water line which goes to my fridge. The filter is the Culligan 750R. I have had no problems replacing the filter. It is a simple twist off, then twist on the new one. I replace my filter every 12 months and the filter has always lasted for the 12 months. A couple of times, I waited 14 months between changes, but it still worked fine. One thing I've noticed is that once I put a new filter on, I usually have to discard the first two trays of ice, because it is a little cloudy. Other than that, no problems.
