The product is a quality filter that really works to eliminate smells and tastes in drinking water.

I was looking for a smaller filter to fit in line on 3/8th inch tubing for a ice machine. This Culligan filter and replacement filters D10 level 1 fit my project perfectly. Thank-you! Culligan US-600A 3/8 was the filter from Amazon.com.

This Culligan filter has many problems.Other carbon filters I use last at least 3 months.This filter didn't last 1 month(2 pack both broke down within a month).The break down is literal,When opening the filter holder the carbon is busted and all over the place.It's like hitting it with a hammer or stomping on it.I'm lucky that non of the carbon chunks have wrecked my Water Boss water softener down line from the filter.My guess would be that this was just a bad batch because I have never had carbon filters do this before.But just to be safe I will not be using the Culligan carbon filter again.Also within a month the smell in my water returned ,not a gradual increase like other carbon filters do,but absolutely obnoxious and strong all at once.

I have this installed in an under sink filter holder purchased separately. I live in Arizona where we have very hard water. I have a whole house water softener and carbon filters at points where I get drinking water. Seems to me that it works great and provides good tasting water. I don't know what to compare it to, but i've drank water from other taps and water fountains, and can tell there is a difference.

We use these filters for our water softener, sometimes I can't find them in stores around our home or they're way to expensive. So I'll order them off Amazon. They're the same one's I can purchase locally, good quality.

After 1 month of use - can tell u ;
For the sediment it's OK - for the rust it's NOT OK.
Will not fit tight, because the inner hall is to wide.

I wanted these to work since they are so much cheaper than the other filters and all I really want is to get rid of chlorine taste. I put my new filter cartage in and there is still chlorine taste. It seemed to fit and be seated in the housing as far as I could tell. But it just didn't work. I have had better luck with the more expensive culligan and the watts filter cartrages.
