Fantastic reference for film fans!
To say I'm a huge fan of Danny Peary's books would be a gross understatement. I adore them. They truly changed my life. I discovered this book and the other 2 cult movies books in college(along with Guide for the Film Fanatic). They turned me onto so many films that have become my favorites I cannot tell you. On top of that, I changed my major to film studies soon after...

For film buffs, a guide to offbeat movies, June 20, 2010
This review is from: Cult Movies 2: Fifty More of the Classics, the Sleepers, the Weird, and the Wonderful (Paperback)
Author Danny Peary defines "cult movies" as films that elicit a fiery passion in moviegoers long after their initial releases; that have been taken to heart as if they were abandoned orphans in a hostile world, cherished, protected, and enthusiastically championed by segments of the movie audience; that are integral parts of people's lives. This book details 50 of such films, from Ken Russell's 1980 film "Altered States" to The Who's rock opera "Quadrophenia"; from the oft-quoted 1975 "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (a personal favorite of mine) to 1954's "Godzilla, King of the Monsters". There are many stills from the films as well as production credits and plot recaps.
