Good book, helped me with my class,
This review is from: Cultural Anthropology: The Human Challenge, 13th Edition (Paperback)
I found this book to be very well organized and that helped me study for my tests and find the right sections when I did my assignments. I thought the book was pretty interesting and I didn't get too bored when I was doing my reading assignments.
I had this same book in the Loose leaf form that has no binding but has 3 holes to put in a binder. It was the 13th edition and the same exact book as this but cheaper, here it is: Cultural Anthropology: The Human Challenge Overall I thought this book was pretty good for my class and it helped me get an A.

I ordered this one in the Kindle edition for a 200-level anthropology course. It was straightforward, and had some thought provoking questions at the end of each chapter. Beautiful illustrations. If you get the paperback edition, it's a huge, floppy book ... the whole class was pretty envious of the Kindle. :)
The professor, however, argued that the sociology text she used for other courses was superior and so we didn't use this book in class.

Interesting book. Needed it for school but I might end up keeping it. Lots of pictures and explains everything very well, fascinating stories about anthropologists in the field, just really good book even for people who aren't planning to become anthropologists.

I decided to buy this book because it is the best so far for an introduction to cultural anthropology. However, I never received my book despite a purchase and shipping made on Sept 17 and Sept 18 2011. Usually, Amazon is pretty good at delivery of their products. I don't know what happen but I want my book!!!!!!!
