3.0 out of 5 stars Well written, but... June 13, 2012

This book is presented as a (more or less) realistic look at domestic discipline relationship. I found nothing realistic about it. Most of the (extremely short) story is told from Sam's POV. A once-happy marriage has hit the rocks. His wife has become shallow and self-absorbed.

For no reason that can really be determined he decides that his marriage will be saved by a return to tradition, so without ever really even discussing the concept of domestic discipline, suddenly he is strapping his wife... at which point they live happily ever after. Annalise's (the wife) change of heart is never really explained or justified in any way other than to say she realizes what a fool she's been.

On the plus side, this story is well-written and told from the husband's POV, so that makes it a bit unique. If you are looking for a quick 99 cent read, with a bit of spanking and a romantic twist, this is not a BAD book. But it could have been a lot more.
