5.0 out of 5 stars Book of the Year!
No matter your politics, if you think our country is headed in the wrong direction, you ought to read this book. It goes above partisanship to get to the source behind our nation's problems. Rod Parsley spells out a very reasonable solution to our collective ills. Remember that Bible-thing? Turns out, there's a lot of answers in there that would do our country and our...

3.0 out of 5 stars Liberal or Conservative: there are no other options
Parsley's book indicates that the country is divided into two warring camps and only one will emerge the victor (the camps being Liberal and Conservative). He writes "isn't it ironic that the media and academic elit hold 'tolerance' and 'diversity' above all virtues, and yet appear unwilling to tolerate anyone who dares to claim a belief in absolute right and wrong, the...

5.0 out of 5 stars Book of the Year!, June 8, 2007
This review is from: Culturally Incorrect: How Clashing Worldviews Affect Your Future (Hardcover)
No matter your politics, if you think our country is headed in the wrong direction, you ought to read this book. It goes above partisanship to get to the source behind our nation's problems. Rod Parsley spells out a very reasonable solution to our collective ills. Remember that Bible-thing? Turns out, there's a lot of answers in there that would do our country and our American culture a lot of good -- not conservative, or liberal, and not even moderate...just good sense and common decency. I don't agree with Parsley on everything, but he makes a lot of sense this time around.

If you agree with the Republicans on abortion, school choice, and lower taxes, this book is going to strike a cord. If you agree with the Democrats on affirmative action and prevailing wage, you will find plenty here for you too. If you're worried that Hollywood and college professors are teaching your kids to hate their country and have no respect for anyone other than themselves, then you ought to read this book and help stop this madness before we lose America for good. I think this was the best book I've read in a long time. Consider it...highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword, June 8, 2007
This review is from: Culturally Incorrect: How Clashing Worldviews Affect Your Future (Hardcover)
Rarely in today's society, flooded by a myriad of trite opinions, does a book carry with it the force to amend a culture, much less revolutionize it. Culturally Incorrect is such a book.

In 1836 the playwright, Edward Bulwer - Lytton penned words that would forever define the power of a well communicated worldview. In his play, "Richelieu", Cardinal Richelieu learns of a plot against him manufactured by a monk. Since as a priest he could not challenge the monk to physical combat, Richelieu issued this statement which today rings true for Dr. Parsley's new book:

Beneath the rule of men entirely great,
The pen is mightier than the sword.

This book is aggressively straightforward, addressing the left, the right, and everything in-between with a compassion that silences its radical detractors. Culturally Incorrect truly is a call to arms for everyone who cares about the future of America. Dr. Parsley makes it unmistakably clear that this battle is one to be fought in the arena of ideas by the very thing that had the power to create the universe; words!

This book is not only a vital tool for every concerned citizen, it is an indispensable weapon that every Christian must have in their arsenal. Needless to say, I highly recommend that you buy this book today!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very informative, June 16, 2007

This review is from: Culturally Incorrect: How Clashing Worldviews Affect Your Future (Hardcover)
Parsley details how historical philosophies(false ones), i.e. Marxism, deism, monism, secular humanism etc,are a rampant chant heard on university campuses and their destructive and negative impact on society today and and the past. Read the book with an open mind you'll get some very good information out of it, I don't agree with everything but I was surprised he came out with this, it really deserves a wider readership; especially Christian readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars About time, June 8, 2007
This review is from: Culturally Incorrect: How Clashing Worldviews Affect Your Future (Hardcover)
Some where along the line the church has been pigeon holed into some corner where we are dismissed as irrelevant. Hopefully this book by Pastor Parsley will challenge the non thinkers (most Americans) to think for themselves.
It is clear that neither political party has a clue as to what most Americans believe in this day and age. Every where I go people are frustrated with the political process and this book will help you understand why.
The book also provides a meaningfull answer to our generation - repent, serve, and pray. Who can argue with that?

5.0 out of 5 stars Eye opening, June 9, 2007
This review is from: Culturally Incorrect: How Clashing Worldviews Affect Your Future (Hardcover)
Culturally Incorrect is an eye opening book to anyone who knows something is wrong in America. The author drills down, beyond red state or blue state, liberal or conservative; he actually educates the reader through historical facts and socialogical events to explain the various worldviews. The world has stressed tolerance is the key virtue in a world of racial division, gender confusion, and devisive political debate. Yet, the world exhibits zero tolerance when the christian voices their moral stance; something is wrong in America and Parsley shows the reader how engage in the culture as a nation hangs in the balance.

"Culturally Incorrect" is Pastor Rod Parsley's best book yet. He clearly demonstrates why worldviews have a foundational impact on individuals' beliefs, outlooks and actions; articulately proves the superiority of the biblical worldview; and calls the church to authentic Chrstianity. Pastor Parsley is often undeservedly smeared by secularists as hateful and intolerant; with this book he proves that their attempted caricature of him is as far from the truth as it can possibly be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprised. . .Pleasanty So, May 26, 2007
This review is from: Culturally Incorrect: How Clashing Worldviews Affect Your Future (Hardcover)
My hope is that people who may not be fans of Rod Parsley's preaching style and/or persona will give this book a chance.

It is thoughtful, challenging and well-reasoned -- surprisingly so. It's really beautifully written and deserves a readership wider that Parsley's core audience. And in it, he is tougher on the Church than he is on the forces of secularism which are so much a part of the worldview clash mentioned in the subtitle.

Cerebral but readable stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars From Falwell to Parsley, June 19, 2007
This review is from: Culturally Incorrect: How Clashing Worldviews Affect Your Future (Hardcover)
It is great to see that Rod Parsley has stepped up to take off where Jerry Falwell left off. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is still relevant today and it can, if applied properly the way Jesus meant it to be, help make society a better place. The TRUE Gospel erases lines of black/white rich/poor, and focuses on the things that really matter.
