An excellent book worth buying
As always, the author's expertise in early Greek art is shown throughout the book and his narration is superb. If the reader wants an easy to understand, yet very scholarly appreciation of this time period, the book is unquestionably a necessity.

I am an art history major and I find this reading to be just okay. If you are buying this book for a class, then I guess you're stuck with it. But if you're getting it for research or enjoyment, there are better authors out there.
