extremely informative
My son went to Cambodia last year and didn't know the culture. After reading this book, he discovered that he had been embarrassingly impolite on his visit. He returned to Cambodia this year and felt very well informed thanks to this insightful little book which he read over the holidays from cover to cover.

Excellent place to start
This book was a great, quick read before my trip. It gave me a basic place from which to begin my tourist study of Cambodia. Although it was written primarily for ex-pats planning to live and work in Cambodia, it had some good information for the American tourist. I found most of the Cambodian people that I came in contact with very understanding of my different culture...

This book was a great, quick read before my trip. It gave me a basic place from which to begin my tourist study of Cambodia. Although it was written primarily for ex-pats planning to live and work in Cambodia, it had some good information for the American tourist. I found most of the Cambodian people that I came in contact with very understanding of my different culture and somewhat more modern compared with what this book led me to believe. However, I am glad I read this before my arrival.
