A Light Shining In The Dark,
By Human Libber "Eclectic Reader" (Sacramento, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cultures of Peace: The Hidden Side of History (Peace and Conflict Resolution) (Paperback)
Cultures of Peace provides an overview of the voices that have spoken to build peace in the world, the work being done to figure out how to persuade more people of the value of peace, and provides a sense of connection to an ongoing movement among many people. The perspective it shows made me feel that we are making progress toward greater cooperation among peoples and nations despite the depressingly large amount of news about current conflicts. My thanks to the author, the publisher, and to all who seek to promote greater understanding and human prosperity.

We need more peace at all levels. Less of the male response to stress: fight or flight; more of the feminine response: tend and befriend.
