This has been a very much anticipated release for me. In the end it was a good result but their songs are just so short. Every song on this album is atleast under 2 minutes. Which isn't a bad thing for all the die-hard grind fans, but it leaves me wanting more. The packaging is typical Blood Duster and the production is excellent. The goofiness is still in the lyrics and in the pre-song intros. This album was definately taken more seriously than their others.
If they would write longer songs they would be on my top 5 list. They are an awesome band but I think they sell themselves short. They have this great groove that gives them an almost Eyehategod feel but then the next second they're doing this insane blast beat. The drummer has some crazy fills on track 17 I think.
If you are a Blood Duster fan then this is the Blood Duster album for you. Alot more serious than their other releases but with the same whackiness that you've grown to love them for.

Get over the fact that the songs are too short, thats Blood Duster, and any true fan would realise that their songs ARE getting longer, listen to Yeest or Fisting the Dead, and you'll see. This album is wicked, catchy, heavy grinding beats which are guaranteed to get u pumped for a fight, all this plus funny intros and lyrics (dont say its too hard to understand, if u feel that way ur not a death metal fan). Top marks, along with all their other albums.Check out Damaged, another great Aussie band

I always wanted Blood Duster to write longer songs. I always thought that I would like them more if they did. Well, I have come to realize that they don't need to write longer songs or change anything for that matter. Not being a fan of short songs I skeptically listened to them and was still craving more after the one listen. I found myself playing the CD repeatedly maybe 4 or 5 times in a row just to get the satisfaction of listening to it over and over again. It all made sense to me now. Blood Duster are the masters of writing short songs. No matter how short or fast the song is, it is complete. This album has great grooves that force my fist to hit the dashboard repeatedly when I listen to this in my girlfriend's car. I wish I had the chance to see them live, cause if they have as much energy live as they do on this album then it would definitely be worth flying to Australia to check them out. This is undoubedtly one of my favorite albums and I think it's going to be hard to ever top it.
Honestly though, do not pass this by.
