I am using this container (40 Cup Airtight Container with Handle by Snapware) as a flour bin. If careful, I can get half of a 25 pound bag of flour in one 40 cup container so I use 2 per bag. It is easy to open and easy to clean. The handle is nice, too. I think it is a plus that it is made in the USA. I have one Lock & Lock container (the bread loaf size) and it is easier to line up and snap down the lid on the Snapware.

After having occasional problems with weevils I purchased three of these. End of problem. Easily holds 10 lb bag of flour. Well designed.

OK, but there are better overall values out there. Consider Keep Boxes that actually have a handle built in and heavier plastic. Just as airtight, with rubber seal. P.S. we could not get five 5 pound bags of flour in it - four tops. Maybe the 25lb per other review was not actually 25lbs.

I bought this based on the previous review that one of these containers held approximately half of a 25 lb. bag of flour. I needed an airtight container to hold 10 lbs. of very expensive dehydrated dog food. I've looked all over the place for an airtight food grade container and have been unable to find anything. I have the Lock & Lock 38-cup container, and that wasn't big enough. I foolish assumed, since the other review said it would hold about 12 lbs., that this one could handle 10 lbs. NOPE! Not even close. Fortunately, I bought 3, so I was able to store the rest of the dog food in one of the other containers (one container holds a little more than half of the 10 lb. bag).

If you are looking for a container to hold 10 lbs. or more, keep looking. This isn't it.
