Got this as a gift for mom. She absolutely loved it and continues to read and meditate on it. Definately a good buy and worth the money. I also opted for the giftwrapping. Not the same you would get at the mall bit made a great presentation, especially for a last minute idea.

I have shared only a few of the devotionals with my mom because our schedules are different, but it definitely a great biblical resource in terms of maternal relationships because my mom and I can relate to the stories in them.

I was looking for something more than what this book provided :( I should have read a sample first and I would have known that it wasn't what I was looking for. If you just read reviews it might not be enough- that is what I learned. I have read short devos like this before, but I guess I am used to them having more substance and that was what I was looking for. Some of the little really short essays I liked, others, I didn't. It might be fine for some. depends on what you expect from a devo. I still read my bible and never use devos as a substitute, so that wasn't the problem. The thing is that my daughter is a young teen and needs God's love showered upon her right now; I know he wants me to encourage her to walk with him. If you just want something for fun and conversation this might be okay. Like I said before, read a sample of a few days. There is a story by one of the authors before the first devo, it's a very good testimony...The rest of the book, to me, has a different flavor...more of a "feel good" flavor. My will not respond to this like a more deep devo could encourage, hope this makes sense. It might be a good conversation piece for mom's and their mom's?...I think a better fit anyways :)

I bought this thinking it was would be a good devotion book to go through with my daughter to start our homeschooling day. The title is deceptive. It's not really for mothers and daughters, mainly mothers with daughters. A bit disappointing.

My Mother died when I was 8 years old and have missed her most of my life. So I use it and gave one to my daughter and recommend it to those with Mothers far away and those passed on.
