I purchased this book on sale because the concept intrigued me, though I'm obviously not a member of the target audience, and I was not disappointed. It consists of short, mostly four page true-life (or at least possessing the ring of truth) "inspirational stories of true love and lifelong devotion" as it claims on the cover, and I must agree. Most stories are about the authors' experiences, but a few are about people they know, usually relatives. Not every story has a happy ending, but most do, and though I found a couple of clunkers, most were pretty good, neither smarmy nor pollyannaish, ideal for reading in small bits, then flipping to the end to read a paragraph about the author.

It's a flat, nonnegotiable fee, but it's better than self-publishing.
