5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious cupcakes!
This deck contanins a variety of cupcake recipes, both fancy and rustic, which will fit a lot of occasions. We've tried half a dozen recipes, and each one was delicious and got rave reviews! The deck format is a cute gimmick, and the photos are great. Note that these are real, from-scratch recipes, so they're not just stir together and bake but afternoon projects...

3.0 out of 5 stars Should have read a review! lol
This is not a book but like the title states but a Deck, like cards. I really do not like the card technique, however, the information inside is pretty easy to follow and new in recipes. If, you happen to like the individual cards it is a nice little guide to all of the favorite Cupcakes, everyone seem to make these days. Price was good also.

I say this deck of recipe cards in a San Francisco card shop and fell in love with them as a cookbook collector this was something I just had not seen before. Even tho this author has cupcake cookbooks out this is a darling idea and makes for a great gift. I have baked some of the recipes and they turned out so good. Just love it!!

This is a box of recipe cards not a book. I love this idea and think the little cards are so cute. They are printed on a high quality card stock and the images are beautiful. I love that each recipe has an image. A must have for cookbooks, in my opinion. Each card has a photo on the front that opens to show the recipe and directions inside. There's an accordion like card in the front with an intro, table of contents, and table of equivalents etc. The box is very sturdy and a good size.

As for the recipes, I have only made one so far. I made the Hi Hat Cupcakes and delivered them to friends. Very fancy presentation and fun to give! The cupcake recipe alone is AMAZING. Very moist and yummy cupcakes... no frosting needed!! The frosting and toppings are delicious as well. I can't wait to try the rest of the recipes. Also, the recipes are for 12-18 cupcakes which is a nice size. I appreciate smaller recipes that make smaller quantities!

1.0 out of 5 stars Recipe didn't work out, February 29, 2008

The pictures are cute, yes. But the recipe that I tried, Spring Bouquet Cupcakes, was very dense, greasy, and tasted like corn bread. I was very disappointed. I haven't tried any others because the first one turned out so badly. And the recipe cards are really designed to look like a deck of cards.
