Book Description

What if something as simple as a cupcake could change a person's destiny?

That's the question that Belle Morgan is forced to ask herself when she receives an unexpected email from Brian Draper, the town's local investigative reporter. Brian wants to do a story on Belle and her infamous creation, Cupid's Cupcake.

Belle has been unlucky in love and unlucky in life. The only thing that she feels she's ever done right is perfect an old family recipe during one of the lowest points in her life. She doesn't buy into the myth that has grown around Cupid's Cupcake, but with Draper's offer she sees an opportunity to change her luck for the better. What she discovers is that Cupid may have plans for her after all.

This Valentine's Day tale is a delectable 11,000 words and is sure to tempt your sweet tooth.

VVery cute short story I'm not normally a fan of short stories but this one was wonderful. How romantic to think of a cupcake bringing couples together

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute February 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I got this free on Kindle and didn't notice any formating errors and I didn't see any typos.

This was very cute. You know right from the beginning what is going to happen. There was a moment there when I thought this was going to shoot up to a 5 stars by toppling all my expectations, but, no. What you exepect to happen happens.

Cute short. Has good characters, plot and resolution. Enjoy it for Valentine's dad

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute Read, Great Premise March 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Cupid's Cupcake was a cute read, with a great premise. I very much enjoyed the author's voice and style, which showed great promise. However, I was thrown off by the amount of grammatical errors that were all easy fixes.

Since this book was designated upfront as a short story, I can't fault the length. Still, I felt the ending was abrupt and could have been more satisfying, especially since it seemed like there would be more. Instead, the rest turned out to be promotional material. Too bad Amazon can't in some way designate ahead of time when the actual book portion will end, so readers are not caught by surprise.

On the whole, Cupid's Cupcake did prove to be an entertaining, feel good story.

Cute...but predictable...story line. If you're looking for an easy and well written story line, you'll love it. No murder, no complications, no bad language, just fun. Will definitely check anything else Ivy Sinclair has written

Ivy Sinclair has hit a winner in this love-themed short story, just perfect for a quick dose of romance.
Although there aren’t a ton of surprises in this story, characters are well developed despite the abbreviated length. Sinclair has crafted her characters to present themselves with a minimum of backstory, yet easy to understand and enjoy.

Tossing in a touch of magic to the batter, Belle only crafts this family recipe once a year, for Valentine’s Day, and while she feels she has never quite met her potential, the possibilities are near endless. Yes, utterly sweet story with lots of options for the story to go, it is a feel-good fun and quick read. In the mood for something light and fun – this is the story for you.

I purchased a copy of this eBook for my own personal library. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

3.0 out of 5 stars cute but a little far out July 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My review is certainly not needed here but thought I would add to it anyway. I enjoyed the book, thought it was cute and a quick read. You already know she makes "magic" cupcakes and you eat them on Valentine's Day and you will fall in love. Everybody but the maker of the cupcakes.

A local news writer does a story on her and the sparks fly. It was a clean, easy read for all audiences. I enjoyed it and would recommend it for a light read with a feel good ending.

This novella is very sweet, but not really an entire book. I enjoyed it and would recommend it, with the understanding that you are purchasing a short story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short story with heart
I like short stories because they are easy and fast to read. The writer has to develop the storyline sooner then a regular novel. Read more
