5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!
This was a really helpful book that acted as the light at the end of the tunnel when I was trying to quit smoking. I had wanted to quit for years and found it virtually impossible. This book helped me to achieve "the impossible."

This was a really helpful book that acted as the light at the end of the tunnel when I was trying to quit smoking. I had wanted to quit for years and found it virtually impossible. This book helped me to achieve "the impossible."

Anyone who is adicted to something and reaching out for a book to help knows the truth--you're hooked and you need some help. Preaching a ton of facts that only make you feel worse won't help. Shubentsov cuts to the chase and reminds the reader of the inner strength each person has inside necessary to break the chains of addiction.

This book was by my side for the better part of a year as I continued to fight the urges with Shubentsov acting as my tough but loving coach. I have since passed my copy on to my mother and have bought copies for friends and other relatives that struggle with addictions.

If you're looking for someone to tell you that you have no control and that there is no hope for you, this is NOT the book for you. However, if you're looking to end the vicious cycle of addiction, PLEASE READ THIS BOOK. It may very well change your life...

4.0 out of 5 stars Brusque Wake up call to the strength in each of us!, July 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Cure Your Cravings (Paperback)
What a lovely way to be hollered at! I found the sound truths and relentless will of the writer to be a sharp reminder to focus on what I am doing more than what I feel to make changes. I quit smoking that way, and now, with this volume at my side, I will stop eating compulsively.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shubentsov is a God-send to anyone suffering from addictions, July 12, 1998
This review is from: Cure Your Cravings: Learn to Use this Revolutionary System to Conquer Compulsions (Hardcover)
Yefim Shubentsov's book is written for those who feel that some aspect of their life is out of control. His book is informative, humorous and very easy to read. Shubentsov shoots down common myths regarding weight loss, self-esteem, and smoking addiction. He replaces these myths with solid, common sense advice that will help anyone to regain control.

Shubentsov explains the principals and how-to's behind bioenergetics...the amazing science that he has used to erase addiction, craving and pain in over 96,000 people, one of which was me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible must read for everyone., March 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Cure Your Cravings (Paperback)
Not only for habitual addictions, this book puts a new perspective on inner strength. With all the quit smoking programs I have attemted over the years, this book has given me the insight and strength to give it up for good. Using unconventional tequniques, he has shed light on the strengths we all have, but fail to use.

The day I picked up this book, was the day I quit smoking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unwelcome news for Jenny Craig, Richard Simmons, etc., January 28, 2001
This review is from: Cure Your Cravings (Paperback)
This practical guide to overcoming addictive behavior should be required reading - if only for the controversial nature of the "boot-strapping" approach! Molly-coddled Americans will blanch at Shubentsov's take on dealing with our cravings: RESIST! Fight back! Stop being such a sissie! "What are you - a man or a mouse?" Personal initiative is prized here, and it's a refreshing change from the victim mentality offered by many therapies and so-called "self-help" programs. For help in steeling your resolve, read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Yefim is THE MAN!, June 4, 1999
By A Customer

He's charismatic, funny, down to earth yet quirky... just visited his clinic for compulsive overeating and whatever he does (it isn't hypnosis) is doing wonders for me... can't wait to read the book.

Well so far ive listened to 2 out of the 3 cd's that comprise the audio book. and uh ive learned that he really dislikes Russia and that's about all i got out of cd 1. cd 2 --its the same. story telling but nothing about curing cravings or addictions (mine would be peanut butter cookies, etc). the cds have so far not gotton to any solutions just story after story of his trip to USA and how he got into this business (that's on cd 2). im hoping cd 3 finally offers a solution or guidance. so far its annoying that he has not gotton to the point of whatever his methods or suggestions are. it just goes on and on. i would not recomend this book/cd but maybe that will change when i get to the 3rd cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Year Later and Remain Smoke Free, June 5, 2005
I smoked for 30 years, tried to quit 7-8 times unsuccessfully, then came accross these tapes. I listened to them twice and found it EASY to quit!!! The information was exactly what I needed to learn. If it worked for me, it could work for you. Best Wishes in becoming SMOKE FREE!!!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cure Your Cravings: Learn to Use this Revolutionary System to Conquer Compulsions (Hardcover)
In a nutshell, this Russian emigrant tells how weak we Americans are and that if we'd just ignore all the advertising etc. around us, we would eliminate our cravings. His answer: We gotta be tougher, we gotta use common sense and creativity. Then there's the chapter on the mysterious force we all emanate called "Bio Energy". Pu-leez. He says, in a nutshell, that if you want to eliminate cravings, then just don't have cravings. For this I paid $21.

I had the pleasure of meeting this man in person several years ago. This book is the next best thing if you can not "experience" him directly. He is very much into "energy" and that aspect is not found in the book.
