Great for Keeping Them Occupied,
By A Customer
This review is from: Curiosity Thrilled the Cat - A Video for your Cat (DVD)
I work long hours and live in a small apartment and was looking for a way to mentally stimulate my cat while I was at work. I put it on in the morning on a low volume, and she can view it when she's bored. The first couple of days, she was batting at the TV and watching more. She still likes it, but it's more like entertainment when she wants it now. I keep searching for other volumes, like a bird volume, but haven't found anything yet. But it was everything I had hoped it would be. It looks vaguely amateurish, but it truly keeps them stimulated, and the background noise wouldn't be the same if you tried to do it yourself. It was certainly worth the money... I'd recommend it.

Cats will not watch,
This review is from: Curiosity Thrilled the Cat - A Video for your Cat (DVD)
I had bought this type of dvd (Cat Sitter DVD) at the local pet store and my cats loved it, so I bought this one. My cats will not watch this dvd. It really is just someone taping in their yard. It does not keep up with the squirrels and shows them go off screen and then blur as they try to get the squirrels back into the frame. There are other better and much cheaper dvds for cats.

My cat WAS thrilled and so was I!,

My cat can't get enough! I've always heard of these types of videos for cats, but never much thought about them until I got this one from a friend. My cat has never shown much intrest in the TV before so I didn't think he would care now, but as soon as it was on, the sounds and the twitching tails got my cats attention. He stalked behind the couch and would look around the corner at the TV and then suddenly run at the screen and try to touch the squirels. When the squirels would run off the screen my cat went looking for them behind the TV! It's as much enjoyment for my cat as it is for me.

I guess such videos are not for all cats. My cat does not pay any attention to it.

My cat loves this video!,
This review is from: Curiosity Thrilled the Cat - A Video for your Cat (DVD)
From the moment I put the video on to the moment I turned it off, my cat was totally enthralled. She watched for a while, then she jumped at the screen, then she watched some more. She was engaged for a good 40 minutes straight. I have gotten into the habit of leaving the video on (in loop mode) while I am at work. She seems to really enjoy having it on in the background. She still watches and interacts with the screen, but, even more importantly, she seems to like the company. Great video -- worth every penny.

Cats say, "Do we look that stupid?",

After the initial five minutes of piped in chirps and one squirrel walking around, (not even energetically walking), that is the look I got from both my cats, "Do we look that stupid? You're kidding right?" Don't waste your money on this item. The only good part of this was the endless loop option, which may entertain your feline companions (provided you have good entertainment) but would probably play hell on your DVD player if you are gone for long. If you have a VHS option try "Video Catnip". Lawrence and Rocky say two paws down, girl.

I showed this to my cat and he wasn't interested at all. Then I lent to a few friends who had cats that had watched TV in the past and none of them were interested either. This video is terrible. The squirrels blend into the background so the cat can barely see them.

Love it!,

My cats are a bit daft but they found this DVD to be amazing! Hef, my big boy, paws at the screen and meows. Charles, my other guy, stares intently at the screen for hours! You know, inside cats need some kind of sensory stimulant, and this is just what any indoor cat needs!

My cats were not interested in squirrels. They really like small, flitting birds, darting fish and would probably like more bugs but can't find a video with lots of bugs.
